Through the Veil of Madness: Dungeons and Dragons Game

((All righty! Life is manageable once again! Let us resume!))

The climb is long, but not overly difficult. As one of you reaches the top you are able to aid the others in climbing. Climbing down into the city is even easier, as the rubble of the ruined guard tower offers a pseudo-staircase, albeit one that would probably be more difficult to scale than to descend. The east ward of the city is as run down as any crime-riddled district could be expected. The streets are deserted and many houses have their shutters drawn tight. You must navigate into the main portion of the city and find Johan Wright, what will you do?

[William Swiftfoot]

Alexander looks to the others. "Any of you good at navigating roads? Cities are not my expertise, and while I could possibly try to track his arcane signature, it would be like trying to pickup a needle from a haystack."

[Dragyn]

Aroth shakes his head.  "Not I, I fear."

[Digital Vulpine]

Retrieving his equipment, Dexter looks around at the run-down buildings and unkempt streets, then says,

"I think the first thing we should do is get out of this part of town.  I say we head West, then go about finding our magician once we are in safer quarters."

[Tvorsk]

Ryn holds his weapon ready, looking around.
"I forgot just how shady this part of town is..."

[William Swiftfoot]

"Your probably right Dexter, an Inn probably knows where we can find him anyway" He says as he waits for the others to journey on.

[Jonas]

Your journey out of the east ward is uneventful. Far too uneventful, considering this is the most crime-riddled portion of the city. In fact, you have not met a single person by the time you arrive at the central square. At the end of the street, you can make out some guards by the north gate, but apart from these the city appears completely deserted.

[William Swiftfoot]

"Maybe it wasn't a good idea to scale the wall..." Alex says as he looks around, trying to discern if the town is completly devoid of life, not just humanoid.

[Digital Vulpine]

Dexter looks around at the empty streets.  The shutters on the buildings are drawn, and dust swirls across the empty courtyard in the light wind. "Maybe they're hiding from something..."

[Tvorsk]

"I have bad feelings about this...", the fox muttered...

[Jonas]

A creaking sound makes you turn. The door of one of the nearby houses has opened and a furred hand reaches out and beckons you inside.

"Get in, quick!" a voice hisses. "You should know better!"

[Digital Vulpine]

Dexter looks at the others, "Well, it might be a lead at least.  Let's go."

He walks toward the door, checking over his shoulders as he does so.

[Dragyn]

Aroth follows Dexter cautiously, unsure of the allegiance of the voice. 

[William Swiftfoot]

Follows the others making sure his spirit is slowly following.

Altanis cautiously follows the others inside, unsure of what to expect.
