Geary, wandering around the ever-changing structure as he was, eventually found himself in a hallway filled with steam, coming from a room on the opposite end. Making his way through into the room, he found a large pool of heated water, the apparent source of the steam. Inside the water Geary could see three people, a child around ten, a deer morph, and what he assumed was a transgender morph, all male. The deer noted Geary's arrival, and made a waving motion to come in, then indicated where he could leave his clothing. Geary moved to the spot and undressed, feeling a combination of embarrassment and light-headedness, then moved into the pool of water and towards the deer morph, surprised by how hot the water was. The deer morph chuckled a bit to Geary's expression. Geary sat next to the deer morph and asked the first question that came to his mind, "So... what are we supposed to do here? Just... sit around?"
The deer morph laughed. "Not all of us, this is actually meant for bathing, but sense the Keep's magic had it running every day all day and night, many of us just come here to unwind and relax. I personally come for the latter. Can't you just feel the water washing everything away, while the steam relaxes you and forebodes of the good things to come?" The deer gave him an inquisitive look.
Geary nodded. "I... I guess I can... and the water and steam do feel relaxing... Ya'know, I always thought cats hated water. I'm glad I'm not one of those cats." Geary and the deer smiled at each other and began exchanging pleasant conversation.
Geary: That means you get a companion for four levels, then it gets an upgrade.
Draykin: A very PAINFUL upgrade.
* Digital_Vulpine eeps, since the rules don't specify that I'm exempt from the psychic link that Wizards have with their familiars. o_o;
