Metamor Keep RP (?)

[Kiba]

"Hmm..." I sniff the air, closing my eyes. "I think I can smell meat cooking that way." I point down the road in a completely generic, unspecified direction.

[Fen]

* Fenrs Wolf sniffs the air a bit in the direction Kiba pointed.

"Yes, I'd have to say that's meat.. well, lead the way."

[Kiba]

"I wish we could have invited Coe with us... but he's busy taking care of people." I walk down the road towards the smell of food with Fenrs behind me. "....am I cute?" I ask completely out of the blue. "I mean... do I make a good raccoon? I always thought raccoons were cute, b-but am I? Err... that is... as a... raccoon...?" I feel like facepawing for asking such a stupid question.

[Fen]

"Heh. I think you make a fine Raccoon, as for cuteness, I've learned to resist it best I can.. but, from what I  can tell, smaller and younger things tend to be seen as cuter than bigger and older forms of whatever they are. So I'd say that puts you in a good position for cuteness."

[Kiba]

"H-heh... thanks for taking my irrelevancy so well. I kinda deserved a smack for that question... a-anyway, here's the restaraunt." I look up at the door to the place where the scents were coming from.
"I hope they have good food here... sure smells like it."

[Fen]

"Ah... amazing, to just take in the smell, so different from before. So much more powerful!"

* Fenrs Wolf takes in a deep sniff of the aroma.

"Well, let's go in then! Standing out here'll just make us hungrier!"

[Kiba]

I go into the restaraunt and find that it's nearly vacant inside, save for a few patrons and the employees. I take a seat at the front bar next to Fenrs... and then realize I'm not carrying any money on me.

"Uhh... I... I'm kinda broke..."

[Fen]

"Don't worry about it.."

* Fenrs Wolf reaches into his robe and pulls out a pouch, from which he removes a gold sun, replacing the pouch inside of his robe.

"This should be plenty enough.. anything in particular you're thinking about getting?"

[Kiba]

"I... I don't know. I used to be a vegetarian. I don't think that would be healthy for me anymore, though, even if raccoons are omnivores. Just because I can eat both meat and vegetables probably doesn't mean I can just stick to one or the other any more."

[Fen]

"hmm. Sound slike you should have a nice big chunk of meat then, if you've been staying away from it for so long."

* Fenrs Wolf calls over the nearest employee and hands him the coin.

"Whatever your best meat is, I'd like it- and a mug of ale as well."

* Fenrs Wolf turns to Kiba.

"How about you?"

[Kiba]

"I'd like some thouroughly cooked meat between two thick slices of bread, along with a slice of tomato and some shredded lettuce and melted cheese..." I say, reinventing the hamburger.

"It's something my old teacher used to put together... before he tried to kill me... I always said I wanted to try one if I wasn't vegetarian. I guess now I have my chance."

[Fen]

"hmmm. A cooked, meaty alternative to the sandwich. It's usually not heated in any way, and makes a good meal for taking somewhere."

* Fenrs Wolf leans forward, resting on the bar in front of him.

A shady character leans in  towards Fenrs, and reaches around to try and take his moneypouch.
If he can just spend a gold sun like that on a couple of meals, he must have plenty of money!

* Fenrs Wolf turns around just as the pickpocket is nearing his destination, staring at him right in his face and with an outstretched arm.

"I highly suggest you retract your arm and rethink your career choice... if I find you trying to steal again, you'll get a lot more than words directed at you."

The pickpocket quickly retreats and leaves the establishment.

"Blasted thieves should know better than to steal from anyone they see."

[Kiba]

"...h-how did you know he was going to do that? I didn't even -notice- him until you said something to him." I stare with wide eyes at Fenrs. "Are you some kind of psychic?"

[Geary]

Coe smiled and watched Kiba and Fenrs leave, nodding to them as they walked out the door. "Hm... so much innocence. I kinda feel bad for what he'll see in here, the horrors of the lutin's victims... I think I just bummed out my day..." Coe chuckled to himself and returned to work, tending to his other patients.

Geary woke from his daze, noticing that Fenrs and Kiba had already left the infirmary. The tabby attempted to follow their scent trail, despite his primary sense being sight. While tracking them, Geary strayed off the path and found the pair only by pure luck. He approached them and, for not conceivably good reason, became flustered for a moment, coupling with his exhaustion to inhibit his thinking and proper sentence structure. "Uh... so... are you... okay?" He managed to spout out to Kiba.

[Fen]

"I noticed him because I'm different. The main  use of my magic is drawing power from the universal power in everything. Everything emits a small amount of power, a sort of presence. Once that power grows to take up more space than your body holds, you can reach out and feel other presences and draw from power sources other than your own. Each presence has a certain feel to it. His held that of greed and secrets."

* Fenrs Wolf sighs and looks down at his drink.

"The ironic part is that if he actually asked for money in a polite manner I probably would have given him some. But he would have been a different person for that to happen."
