Obviously he has something different in mind for our deuteragonist. I have the feeling it won't be much of an improvement. In legends kitsunebi - foxfire - was a Japanese Will'o'the'wisp. It also was the source of their illusions and could serve many purposes. He whacked Saida with foxfire for... something.
At the risk of being Captain Obvious, it's no fun being the plaything of an angry demigod.

That's what happens when ordinary mooks go up against a demigod with a kitsunebi skill of 20. Those tails store one hell of a lot of power.
And yeah, it was played for pure horror. Virmir is GOOD at body horror. Suzocon gave that third quetz a death that was both intensely degrading and agonizing. He ate him armor and all and destroyed him before he even reached Suzocon's belly. And you finally got a really good look at why powerful nogitsunes were one of the most feared yōkai in ancient Japan. They have no honor whatsoever.
Those were Royal Guard. They may well have been part of Saida's 'found family.' And she had to watch them all burn. For the first time she witnessed a genuine atrocity and it changed her some. She certainly has every reason to despise Suzocon.
That being said there was absolutely no way Dime Store Thor wasn't going to bring the thunder after that dishonorable display. And these two have s history.

He didn't actual care about the world around him. Only his goal to gain the power of a god. If not dominion over all life itself. So when the Orb was taken from him. He left in order to recover it to continue his work.
That said, last time we saw the prince. He was pretty much getting nuked over and over while drowning. Combine with the fact that he was In the Rebellion territory. As you know, Darya controls the oceans near the island. So chances are she would definitely try to kill him if he tried to escape by swimming. ya, i really don't see this ending well for him.
Regardless i think the prince is more terrified. Not of the tailed prick but more about his sister. As his motivation was to find and save her. Returning the orb was more of a secondary thing to him. Aka why he didn't even bother to secure it when he found brand.

So you got to wonder when he is going to start taunting her with the fate of her brother. as well considering the tailed rat was free to search for them. Chances are he might not be alive anymore. And i wont lie sadia and her bro might have been very close.
He'd lie about that even if it wasn't true just to screw with her more. And it may not be true; when her brother loosed his ancestral materia attack on the shrine, it may have destroyed what was keeping Suzocon on the island. He would be free to retreat from the stalemate. That would mean Prince Shock Jockey is still alive, still out there and pissed right off.

As your experiences define you more as a person then anything your species might have. Hell, if you look at how she acted threw out the entire story. She is still herself. Just look at how she treated the Kobolds.
If she was truly becoming brand. She would have tried to murder them for such insolence. but no she is still the kind hearted person she was before. Hell brand is no closer to becoming sadia. Hell brand is becoming in a way even more brutal and sadistic. Perfering violence and even tormenting people he dose not like. Sadia has been for the most part the voice of reason.
Regardless thou, Sadia is not becoming Brand. Nor is Brand becoming Sadia. This is massive gas lighting.
Oh it certainly is. I don't call Suzocon a dishonorable dog for nothing. He is, even by nogitsune standards. But the important question isn't whether or not he's gaslighting Sylia - but why. His motivations with Brand and Roko are easy to figure out. But what does he have to gain by trying to gaslight Saida-hime? She's much less vulnerable to nogitsune blandishments than the other two and at this point, has far less to offer.
My best guess, and boy, I don't have a good track record here, is that Suzocon needs her for the Eyestone ritual. Because you absolutely know he wants that tail - the tail that may even be his own - in that Eyestone. The one Roko was making a try at when he disrupted the ritual. He switches Saida and Brand back, and he gets that tail. Of course, at that point, he doesn't need any of them any more...
Are getting their proper bodies back worth creating this universe's Tamamo-no-mae and loosing him upon the world? That may be a question they have to answer.
