No, I don't believe so, just a couple of pages earlier Lucian said that the whole forest is warded against fire.

Even if it IS that, note how foxman didn't catch fire either. He's not even signed.

Notice, it is his armored shoulder and sword that got hit.  By the lines of magic that were spinning around his sword, it's likely got some wards on it, and I would suspect the same for his armored side.  Probably warded as well as the forest.  :P
