This can only go well. Definitely won't backfire or come back to bite them in the rear

Also anyone else notice the little comment which is. We are the good guys. So we can do whatever we want.... I think Brand is letting his hero complex go to his head. As the reason why the Quetz are forbidden from going to the mountain. Probity is due to it being insanely dangerous...As forbidden is a term generally used to ensure peoples Safety, not just a spiteful rule.

On the one hand, this is the quetz. They run on spite and greed. The fish rots from the head down, etc. Saida-hime is just the exception that proved the rule with this bunch of nonces.

On the other hand, that "sacred mountain" thing can mean a bunch of different things, and the edict to NOT GO THERE may well predate Vetra-jou's fall from grace, i.e. it was put into place immediately after the Puppet Wars ended. So Saida-hime... well, she may have a point here. But on the other paw Brand-san may well be right. It's the only good hiding place they have that's guaranteed to not draw continuous Long Patrols of quetz searching for them.

TL;DR: Brand is helping. Again.

Ya, first of all we don't actual know who defeated the puppet master. I kinda doubt its the Quetz. As sense when do they have the power to turn people into trees? Further more we actual don't really know anything about the Quetz. And the only people willing to talk about them. Is brand who is a Volcano dragon who has an innate hatred for the Quetz and an Evil fox creature that was using brand and everyone else for his own goals. And most likely knows Brands innate hatred and is willing to use that to manipulate him into doing what he wants. So he would easily just lie to brand and the rest of the group. Specialty considering Sadia is clearly keeping secrets to herself. Hell why else would she Know how to operate the eye Before the events of the story.

that said, for all we know this has nothing to even do with the quetz. They are a race of beings that Travel across the world spreading rain. Good chance they know Alot about the world itself. Hell whoever actual did the did probably told them to stay out. And if you haven't guessed the quetz are more then willing to listen to people. They listened to the tail rat when he told them to hit the bricks. As you got to remember outside of the volcano dragons. No one actual hate the quetz, why else would they gladly hold a festival for giving them tribute.

But ya, we all know something bad is going to happen. As this is the next major arc of the story. you know Checkovs gun is in play hear. That and they ignored sadia concerns, who in all honesty The smartest person in the groups. Meaning they are going to unleash the puppet master. As lets be honest hear, their going into an forest where evil people were turned into trees. That is just screaming bad idea when they Literately could go anywhere else. like couldn't they just try to go around the mountain of evil puppets?
