Little moments like this is why your take on body swap has fully won me over. Also Saida having tummy trouble in Brand’s body is gr8

I like the detail that the quetz are omnivores and the Volcano Dragons are carnivores, so poor Saida can't eat some of the diet she's used to. And Brand is finding out that plant matter can be very tasty indeed, if your body can handle it.

I actually think Sadia isn't complaining about being a carnivore. But that the Fruit itself is poisons to certain creatures. Prime Example of this is Most deer cannot Eat Potatoes or Tomatoes. While for example Canines cannot have certain types of fruits like Grapes or cherries. Just some kind of chemical compound in it causes issues. Hell their are certain fruits like lychee and ackee that are poisonous to humans. Least without certain perpetration taken to Negate the poison.

Still love how Brand just did a 180 and started gobbling them down. As those things must be quite addicting.

Whether they actually are slaves or just servants, I bet Saida never thought of them in that way before.

I've been wondering if she will ever learn to (occasionally) say "I" instead of "We". I don't think I've seen Brand try to say "We" instead of "I" to keep up the appearance.

You know, always kinda wondered if the birds Actual feel like they are slaves or not. Like when it comes down to slavery, they clearly are not chattel slaves. If anything more like indentured servitude. And considering they are servants to gods. I am wondering if they even care.. Might be a honor to serve them.

Prince Shock Jock disparagingly refers to them as "chickens", and had zero problem turning one into ash with his lightning for the crime of saying something Shock Jock disapproved of.  Indentured Servants still have rights, and are not property -- just legally obliged for a period of time.  Slaves have no rights, they're property, and laws rarely protect them from abuse or worse.  Let us hope Prince Shock Jock, if he survives the fight with rat-tails, comes back much worse for wear.

It's pretty clear Prince Shock Jockey considers them property, though he gives pretty much EVERYONE a disparaging name except the ones he likes (precious few) or the ones he has to out of royal protocol. Everyone else is literally beneath him.

Blasting one of the majordomo's assistants to ash was to make a point to the majordomo, whom he could not blast: Don't upset my sister or face the consequences. I think she got the point.

To be fair i don't think we fully understands their motives for serving them. As clearly they are beloved to the birds. And sure the Qeltz might view them as lower beings. I think they share that opinion with all other races. Regardless if the birds were being oppressed, i think they would be more hesitant to take in Sadia. Specialty considering this settlement is Clearly not being overseen by the Qeltz. as in they don't have anyone their to boss the birds around. As i am assuming they are just their to farm the fruit. A tribute to the gods they worship.
