Hey Fuzzies, we're currently testing out a new thing on the chat; Seperate channels for the chatting and RP!

The Main room we all know and Love has been renamed  the Grand Hall, and will be used for the usual things we do here... Chatting about the comics, whatchas been up too all day and the usual Hugging/poking/and licking that goes on.

The Theatre (Role Play) channel is for exactly what it says on the tin!.. Roleplaying. If you have something especially Awesome and epic, to prevent the main chatroom from being clogged (and your RP from being interrupted) you can Move it from the Grand Hall to the theater!

How to change rooms
To change rooms all you have to do is go to the Channel drop down box under the Page title and select the channel you want to be in!

Things to keep in Mind
  • You can only be in one channel at a time.
  • Changing between channels makes the standard Virbot entry/exit sounds so that might get annoying if done repeatedly.
  • You can private message people in another room using the same commands as normal /msg USERNAME.
  • You can invite people to the channel you're in with the command /invite USERNAME.

Just a note that the Role Playing room is mainly for role playing.  I'm totally okay with people chatting casually in there, especially when the main room gets busy.  But when the main room is quiet and has few people, it's best to move your conversation back in there.

We're actually working on a solution to address the fact that you can only be in one room at once.  But for now, thanks folks, and enjoy. [:)

Another thing of note... When people are in the other channel, you can't see them at all. And people not only 'could' but in fact often DO change their nicknames while in the other room. Typing out the whole spiel in parenthesees was annoying before, but at least you could just click their name. Now not only are they not present to click on but you can't be sure they're using the right name either.

Is there a way to allow /msg to cover a person's base name as well as their current one?

Of the four elements,
None is predominant.
Of the four seasons,
None lasts forever.

A solution/workaround for that would be using the /who command to get a list of nicknames, of every one on the chat, also you can use /who ChannelName to find out whos on a particular channel.
