Oh! I've seen this plot before.

The black fox dies first.

I must say, that was unexpected. Totally didn't see that coming.

This is why I would require all officials to be poked in the forehead upon retrieval from a battlefield, airship crash, or other such hazardous environment.

It gets so lonely being evil
What I'd do to see a smile
Even for a little while
And no one loves you when you're evil
I'm lying through my teeth!
Your tears are all the company I need

Nope, several red foxes have died on screen already.

Geary: That means you get a companion for four levels, then it gets an upgrade.
Draykin: A very PAINFUL upgrade.
* Digital_Vulpine eeps, since the rules don't specify that I'm exempt from the psychic link that Wizards have with their familiars. o_o;
Geary: GET YOUR PET DRUNK.

... so does that mean Emiline is dead?  Or that the Commodore is possibly not dead but has a bad case of dragon?

Maybe it means it's a form of were-type infection, where one who's been attacked transforms into a dragon against their will?

Nah, it's just that most of the grays that have spent much time on screen have names.

I don't know why but I'm beginning to think that this "Lady of the Stars" is not a benevolent god. First off, Sierra sees an evil aura in the staff that holds her power; then it turns out that the only thing that stops that power is a summoned spirit, which the Lady banished all examples of off to a horrible place. This indicates that the banishment was not for the good of the Reyn but a power grab by the Lady, which she later prettied up with propaganda about how horrid the summoned spirits. I mean, the Grays had been using summoned spirits under the Reds' noses for possible approaching a century and they didn't hideously mutate. Then there's Lucian's vision of Emiline dragon and the red-eyed evil-looking figure giving him a thousand-yard stare as well as the speculation that she is, in fact, the Lady. Add to that the fact that this figure has likely been spreading a contagion of three-eyed dragon-shifters around, the latest on-screen victim being the Commodore, and I think we've got an idea of just how 'benevolent' the Lady is. In other words, she's just as much of a god as the Go'auld. Yeah, she's got the power of a god but do you really want to follow her?
