Iiiiiiinteresting... I've never even considered a short i sound.  I've added an "other" option because this opens up a plethora of other combinations. [;)

Well, what the heck. I'll post my info for why I couldn't get it right here... at first I said veer-meer because I can't read new words worth beans XD that simple! I have to hear or look up in a thesaurus  how to pronounce just about all new words... and I don't think Virmir is one in the thesaurus.  [;)

When I read 'Virmir' for the first time I pronounced it "Weh mir".
It's german and even though there is no direct translation(because its like a phrase), it means like "Oh boy".
So my instincts were right by 'warning' me about Virmir. ;D

*thumbs up*

I always pronounced Virmir as "Vur-Mire". Like how the planet Virmire in Mass Effect is pronounced.

Where did you come up with the name, anyway? Does it have a specific meaning to you, Virmir?

Though my avatar may look mean, I am not, so feel free to chat if you like. {:)

I needed a name for a cartoon fox while walking down the street and noticed a construction vehicle with VERMEER plastered on the side.

Ta-da!

Ah, I see. A motto of theirs is "Equipped To Do More." Are you equipped to do more, Virmir? *chuckles*

I mean, I thought it was veer-meer for the longest time, until someone (sorry can't remember who) told me it was vur-meer

Anyone else think it's a coincidence that saute rhymes with all day?

Intentionally mispronounced "Veer-mir". Phonetics of the V aside, "vir" means "man" in Latin, so with my pronunciation, I can make a subtle dig.
Plus, veer-meer sounds more fun in a British accent.

There is another theory which states that this has already happened."
