Part 3: Looks good. The narrator imagining the part then jumping to reality amused me.
I'll agree with the "moderately interesting" rating. We've got a character in trouble, and some weird magic stuff going on (That I am interested in, but not so much so because it hasn't been revealed as critical to the plot just yet) and we're waiting to see how he's going to get out of it. Not spectacular in terms of interesting, but enough to make a good, satisfying action tale.
