A genre-savvy Archmage would:
Assure the commodore that the measures are being taken for the safety of him and his men, to ensure that the symptoms do not spread uncontained without at least a cure.

Instead:
This is the part where he angrily snipes that magic is the domain of the mages, and Comm. Fluffybutt should go play with his toy airships or something.

Isn't it grand how the people in charge of delegating orders tend to be the worst at communicating?

Bryce is still adorable. It's impossible to take him seriously.

Quite right, hang some curtains and you got a nice window.
Nah, too wide. Looks like a great place for a sliding door, leading out to a balcony. Evil overlords need balconies, from which to stare down at their minions smugly.

And now begins the owning. If I had known it would be this much like a D&D game I would have responded earlier and also asked for the statistics of the world to be posted so that we (the readers) could run around and play in it. And maybe help expand the world a bit.
Obviously the Red Reyn are human counterparts(bonus feat, weapon improvisation, Favored class Fighter/Wizard), Grey Reyn are good at climbing and moving about, with a touch of low light vision(+STR/WIS, -CON, favored class Druid/Sorcerer), Snow Reyn are good diplomancers and crafters(+DEX/CHA, -WIS, Scent, favored class Bard/Paladin), Fens are short, but great of hearing and oddly resilient(+CON/INT, -STR, Small size, favored class Monk/Rogue).
Needs more races for a traditional fantasy game, though, that's only 4.

Spell lists would be oriented towards a more light-hearted game. Why cast Baleful Polymorph when you can have Cutesy Feralization instead?

I wouldn't jump to any conclusions about her and the staff unless it's shown to be so.
Offense! Jumping to conclusions is the right and obligation of us, as Noble Trudgers of the Forum! I'll do it right now! *launches self off of cliff towards a conclusion*

And once again, Julian proves to be far less sinister than he thinks he is. If you're going to run around using polymorphing as a weapon, there are far better things to use than a Cutesy Feralization spell.

Bad Sierra! Asking if they're dead ensures that they're not! It's almost as bad as saying that not finding the body means they must be gone for good.
