I think it's the same youkai-vision that he had before, looking for spiritual traces on his own plane. That led them to the open door through the disaster around them.

Possible, either that or they just found it. I doubt the lab is that massive. And it is a big door with a giant staircase leading up to it. Regardless thou Good to see roko is back. seems like his is least able to speak again.
