I wonder what would have been worse. Getting taken to the dungeons of the quetz. Or getting taken by Angry kobolds to a giant volcano dragon? As this Sure backfired at this point. Maybe they should have stayed in the haunted Forest.

Issue with this is. he needs to read the room hear. Like sure you may not like them. But you know, their kinda needed to do the whole Destroy the eye plan. Also if you recall the last time he did this. It caused the Entire Quetz empire to declare war on them. So in short its not really helping their goals to pick a fight With EVERYTHING.

First of all, The only person who calls the aves slaves is Brand, Brand who Hates quetz.

Second, Are the aves in the village slaves? They are able to live freely with no overlord. And the only thing they need to do is once and a while pay a tithe of eggs. And while we don't know what the Dark aves do with the eggs. The one the Quetz take get to live in a floating palace. Sure they might end up being guards. But ya i don't really see the downsides hear.

Third, We never actual seen the Quetz treat them like trash. Sure thunder bro, smited one but he did it to protect sadia. Other then that What have they done? We in all honesty had such Little interaction with the quetz. That to make the argument that They Hate the aves is kinda dumb. Specialty considering on page 39. Roko who was pretending to be an ave. Was confronted with by a quetz. And he didn't even get a stern talking to.

Like i just don't see it. Like maybe you are blinded by your hatred for them. Just like how brand is. Because until we actual See A sign saying that the Aves are Actual unhappy. I don't think he is a good judge of character. Specialty considering the aves are Willing to Fight Dragons for their overlords. I don't think your average slave is willing to do that.

Ps. If anything i think their either Serfs or Indentured servants. Which are forms of slavery but most people wouldn't compare it to chattel slavery.

You know, i got to ponder. Are the aves actual slaves at this point? Look i know i made this point in the past. But outside of sadia brother Smiting one when it insulted Sadia. Which could just be an older sibling protecting a younger. We really haven't seen any quetz treat an ave poorly. Take for example page 43, Roko is shaped shifted into an ave. As you know a big meeting is going on and thus everyone need to be at their position. Roko gets spotted and manages to Easily talks his way out of it.

Hell, just look at the context of that page. Roko is trying to find the queens chamber. Quetz ask what it is doing. Roko says hey i was told to go their by another quetz. Only for the quetz to not question him, Not get angry, To just tell them the other quetz was just messing with him. Almost as if they had Middle management issues where the quetz bicker over scheduling. So something like this isn't even out of the ordinary.

Meanwhile, the volcano dragons apparently rule threw intimidation and fear. A tactic someone like saida would never use. As she actually cares about the aves. Truly makes me ponder what the actual quetz view on the aves.

More like debating going into volcano dragon territory. Least without any actual evidence that they are going that way. And to be fair, searching their for them is a massive risk. That could cause an entire new war.

Also anyone else find it funny that their territory is a barren wasteland with no life.

Ya but killing vetra could cause a endless Drought. Further more, we don't actual know anything about her. We have had 2 scenes with her. For all we know She would have game Brand his wings back. Wings that in all honesty didn't even matter sense they are decoration. She could in theory be Really reasonable.

As imagine if she stole his ability to breath fire Or his arms or legs? Or lets be frank she could have straight up just killed brand or locked him away forever. As for a Merciless god of lighting and rain. She seems to be more then willing to be lenient. So as much as you want to hate her. Until we know more about her keep and open mind.

As in all honesty don't you find it weird that the quetz are overall Loved by everyone? If they were such tyrants why are the only people who hate them volcano dragons? Volcano dragons who mind you are described as Tyrants who only cares for themselves.

Ps. forgot about Darya but to me she feels like someone who dose not want to free people from the tyranny of the quetz. More like Free them so they can be enslaved by her sorta deal.. Swear almost every single person we meet is evil.

You know, Kinda funny how similar both quetz and volcano dragons are. Least in regards to the people who Serve under them. 

Aves worship and willingly serve the quetz.

Kobolds worship and Willing Serve Retanlong... Hell brand wants his own tribe of servants.

Why it really really feels hypercritical for brand to call the aves slaves. When they appear to be More then happy to serve fight and die for the quetz.

To be fair, If the Local Necromancer overload is trying to fight a cult of Evil demon worshipers. It really dose not matter who has the moral high ground. They are still both evil. And considering they couldn't Kill the puppet master. One could argue that this wasn't a curse but an act of desperation to bind them to the trees. Further more, Forbidden place generally means it is Insanely Dangerous rather then Keep out you might see something you shouldn't have. Case in point what happened to the dark aves. As give you any money if brand would have put a wing on that tree. Brand would be just devoured. Only reason roko wasn't was because it can't devour inanimate objects.

Also, just got to be frank hear. Lets give the Quetz the benefit of the doubt hear. As for all we know Every player on the planet fought the puppet master. Sadia just dose not know, as well she wasn't born back then. Regardless if you know anything About evil manipulators. You really should not trust them.

Hell hear is some Examples. Lovecraft, Yep eldritch monsters love to go into your dreams and manipulate you. Much like how the puppet master dose.

The Greater demon Kairos Fateweaver Manipulated the dreams of the advisor to ensure he would be summoned to the mortal realm.

Hell thrall was manipulated by someone entering his dreams in Warcraft 3. Granted this was to try to Prevent Armageddon . But point still stands.

Trusting the puppet master is a terrible idea. As what happens when he gets freed? What if he decides try and consume the world again. As i highly doubt Vimir just wanted a little fight before the dream sequence. No The puppet master devoured their bodies. chances are this is a red flag.

Ps. i also kinda doubt sadia wants to see her Family and entire race get Brutally murdered. So i highly doubt she would be down for an all out war against her mother. Also thinking about it. Destroying the Quetz would also cause the word to die. remember their the ones who cause rain. No rain means drought...So sure you could Kill Vetra and Thunder bro. But then you would have to take over their job or else cause the world to fall apart. As sadly this is what happens when all natural phenomenon is caused by some kind of creature.

First of all, trusting the puppet master... In all honesty is the worst Decision you could have taken. As we really don't know Why the puppet master did what he did. For all we know he was just trying to take over the world. Its not like anyone else saw the puppets as anything outside of a plague. Not some fable freedom fighters or anything like that.

Further more, Just to add fuel to the fire i just started. Look at what it did to the dark aves? It devoured them... That is a massive red flag that for all we know. It was trying to consume to the planet itself.
