So glad to know you don't need alchemy for it to drop. Time to level my Main's Archeology to the required level, and make an alchemy alt to craft it!

...this is probably going to take awhile.

No no no, you need the be an alchemist to use the rec. The recipie is bind on pickup: and is only from arch. So you need both of them to get the rec.

However the mount itself is not: so you can have someone else make the mount so long that you have the materials and a generous tip.

That is absolutely amazing. I also have a question; since the recipe for Sandstone is BoP, you had to have gotten it; there seems to be a bit of debate on whether or not you need Alchemy as one of your professions for it to drop at all, did you have alchemy to start with before you got it or did you pick it up later to make the Vial of The Sands because of how awesome it is?

I have an alchemist: however you do not need alchemy to get the mount. I used alchemy so that I could speak the vendor necessary to get the vial and sands of time required in the materials: however I did not need the rec to get it. I instead found someone who did have it (In fact, only person on the server since this was when there was only within the second or third week of cataclysm), and tipped them 1k gold in order to craft it for me.

The rec requires 400 archaeology, a lot of luck, and 450 alchemy to use.

I have no pictures: But I was pretty happy when I got benediction/Anethema back in vanilla. And when I got the netherdrake/manta ray back in BC.

Although the crowning was the Mechineer's chopper out in WotLK. Although I did craft  me a sandstone drake before quitting in cataclysm.

The greatest moment in the game however: was when using the sandstone drake (turns you into a dragon) the gnome on my back shouted 'FAALLLLCOOORRR' as I was flying her to Westfall from stormwind when she asked where she needed to quest at.

Seems like the staff has a little spirit whispering cute little suggestions in his big fluffy ear.

At least, that is my assumption.

Borderlands has stolen my soul.

Oh how I love thee clap-trap... the interplanetary assassin.

I do love a good demon. Incubi, Imps, Hellhounds...

If those don't count, then I'd have to go with a Naga.

This would be a hard choice for me: so many amazing characters to be!

A part of me wants to say Beatrix from FF9: despite the fact she was female. Warrior General that never loses a fight throughout the entire game and one-shots everything with 'shock break'? Nothing to complain about there!

There is also Kefka, but I lack his mindless purposelessness to actually emulate him properly.

Then there is 'ol Vivi from FF9 as well, what isn't to love about being a clumsy lil black mage?

Donnie did say about FFT, and then there is FFCC and FFTA to think about... Rem was a pretty amazing character in FFCC, however I can't go into detail about who or what he was since it'd be a pretty huge spoiler. Would fit me quite well in the 'crazy' department.

I honestly can't think of any FFT characters I liked, most were simply too transparent for my liking if I remember. Wonderful game despite such however.

Oh, also... Donnie. FFT: Stop Bracelet, Seal, Allure, Ultima, Shadow Stitch. The horrors shall never be forgotten.

As somebody who absolutely loved FFT on the PS1, but has much the same attitude toward spreadsheet games, I have one key piece of advice:

Avoid the Calculator, and Mime classes. Each one is massively powerful if you take the time to use them properly, but it makes each turn take half an hour, or forces you to think very carefully about who to bring to each battle. Instead, focus on straightforward but effective beat-stick classes like the Dragoon, White Mage, Samurai, Geomancer and Ninja.

You don't really need to be optimal to win most of the time. Special Characters like Cid, Orlan and Mustadio can outpower an entire party of normal characters, and get access to their special abilities right away, without any fancy class changing strategy, or a good stable of theives can keep your basic knights and squires armed well enough to beat the game. A good build will save you some level grinding, but you only need to be optimal if you're going into the optional level 99 dungeons. (You can win the game at 45, pretty easy.)

In short, don't let the game intimidate you with all it's options; You don't really need most of this stuff.

Its also good to remember that a summoner learns any summon cast on it that it survives: and is the only way to learn the most powerful summon. I forget the exact name since its been awhile: but the final boss of the deep dungeon casts it.

Also, kill black chocobos first: they instantly cast meteor.

I'd like one of myself, in a dark mage robe possibly casting a voidspell (Dark bolt n' stuff). The fur coloration is dark brown muzzle (light gold around the cheeks) with the same dark brown going up the nose bridge to meed with the hair, where the hair is very long going down to about the lower back. There are apparent fangs on the muzzle: and the expression is that of concentration.

Wings are also on the back, and fairly large. They're the same dark brown as the hair, all other fur that might be seen is golden.

Dark robe, with a single book held on a chain over the shoulder (the book rests on the side of his hip). And a purple glowing rune on the ground (similar to transmutation circle found here: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/__PS2-bnQ_lg/SlHYS6pyMiI/AAAAAAAAADQ/LbgJnSR-XGU/S660/Transmutation_Circle_by_pedro_kun.jpg )

(just forgot a few things: will add them below)

There are longerish claws, and round glasses that are a bit small on the muzzle.

Forgot to add: there is no leaf nose.
