Random Topics / Sune Crew Commission for Jacfox
« on: March 21, 2016, 10:27:20 PM »
Hey folks, this topic is to keep track of those who are going to be chipping in to a special commission for Jacfox to make sometime.

Trask and I figured we could pool money to make a neat large commission but had an idea to see if we can get more Sunes in. Trask and I will fund the initial $60 to get Trask and Oyabun in with a full background, but it's $10 per extra character!

The idea for the actual composition isn't settled in stone and I'll probably have to do some worldbuilding for it but for those of you who want in we can think of how it'd look.

-Inside SPACESHIP!?
-Ground pounding?
-Base assault!?
-Sneaking!?

Generally think an expanded version of this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/13670106/

So far those who I've confirmed or believe to chip in:

1) Trask
2) Me
3) Kenku
4) BlueDragon

-

5) Wolfe
6) Virmir
7) Draykin (under Kenku)
8) Foxgamer

Just post here to secure candidacy if you're interested. Though obviously this requires a valid Sune character. Examples of some:

http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11266973/
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16941542/

Edit
Keep in mind however that until Jac opens again for commissions or get a timetable from him, this project has no deadline so don't feel pressured about finances immediately.

Random Topics / Sune Lore - Modern Religion
« on: March 19, 2016, 02:01:04 AM »
Modernist Naturalism?

The Sune embrace 'Naturalism' heavily in culture and belief. Typically they do not hold the concept of a 'supreme being' or grand pantheon, rather they (or at least those that practice) believe that the natural cycle of life affects personal destiny and touches facets of the universe. This is, of course, heavily cliff-noted but the modern Sune religion isn't that special or deep to begin with as most of the population is typically agnostic. The rate of technological advance and sophistication has, for the most part, granted Sune the peace of mind and order archaic religions claimed to provide.

The modern Sune religion is generally split between two sects: Aura Sirutic and Aura Ganist. In Sune linguistics, Aura means either Legendary, Great, High, etc. Sirutic is a denomination of the old term Siru, meaning Mother, Surrogate, Caretaker, etc. Gan is a more recent phonetic meaning 'Land'. As such Aura Siru means 'Great Mother' and Aura Gan 'Great Land'. Both obviously worship their respective term.

Aura Sirutic
Aura Sirutic is an evolution of the old word 'Aursiru'. As mentioned above, Sune believe strongly in natural forces as opposed to the supernatural. The belief in the Great Mother is more to do with paying respects to this figure. Actually, more specifically, most Sirutic scripture is mournful and expresses deep loss over the Great Mother. Sirutics pay great love and attention to this lost figure, however nobody really knows who this Great Mother is. As per Sune naturalism, the Great Mother figure is mostly akin to what we'd know as 'Mother Nature', or the cycling of life.

Aura Ganist
Aura Gan is an evolution of the old word 'Aurigan'. Ganists are typically Sune with a more adventurous outlook on life as the scripture pays especially close attention to a great land host to the Sune now lost to time but waiting to be discovered. This lost holy land is described as being a paradise beyond description, whilst the Sune having wandered then lost their way from. It plays strongly to the ideal of finding or creating a better place.

A Third?
Though not necessarily a sect of its own, both sects of Aura play mention to the 'Invisible Fathers'. Some had dismissed it as the obvious counterpart to the 'Great Mother' of Sirutics but the phonetics differ, translating the adjective to something more like "Mysterious, unseen, invisible, intangible" rather than Legendary or Great. The everyday Sune typically handwaves this off as a warning to parents to never abandon their children.

Conclusions
As typical with the generational problems with religion, it's not an easy topic for archaeologists to go over. However historians have noted that modern Sune history only dates back 2000 years with absolutely no fossil record from before that. Coupled with these 2000 year old scriptures that make great mention of 'Lost Lands' and 'Lost Mother', most historians feel that these old Sune at the start of record had felt emotionally depressed at the loss of something important... Or rather these literature make great mention to the importance of having to search for something.

Writer's Guild / Aurasiru: The Legend & Ancient Sune
« on: December 14, 2014, 09:29:38 PM »
A burst of light flashed through the dark vacuum of space, distorting space/time as a sleek, white vessel emerged. Bearing 3 'tails' behind it and a small size, the "Seeracuda" exploration ship and commercial crew scour the vast frontiers of Sune space for new worlds, new discoveries, and often intel regarding any possible hostile faction's expansion into territories thus unseen. The captain lays on his belly on the center island on the bridge, accessing the situation on his holo monitors. His fur is a pure white from the solar radiation, his tails bearing the colored ribbons of an explorer, yellow.

"Alright boys, what do we have in this system?" he calls out casually, this being only one of hundreds of stars he has visited.
"A lot of rocky worlds here, I count 6 rocky worlds in the inner system with one in the water zone." A similarly white furred, but green bellied Sune replied, "6 more planets, 1 massive gas and 2 medium class. The rest are smaller gas spheres."
*Ah a lucky find." he thought, though he was skeptical. "Does the habitable world possess liquid water?"
"Scanning," he scratches his chin, "No sir. The world is bone dry. An extremely thin atmosphere too, barely any... oookay..." he blinks.
"Okay? Okay what?" The captain taps his console impatiently.
"Detecting vast remnants of water vapor, liquid water, the atmosphere has elements of breathable atmosphere but reduced heavily. This world was once habitable. No indication of solar activity that would strip the atmosphere like that. And..."
"And what?" the captain starts to grin.
"And.... a faint energy signature. I don't know how to explain it."
*That's something!* the captain thought. It isn't rare to find a world that could support life and posses water to be stripped clean, but this world has something...
"Well then. Helm, take us in. I want to look at this world."

The exploration ship activated it's massive plasma aerospikes and zoomed through the solar system, arriving at the world and orbiting it.

"Viewscreen is on, Cap," the scientist calls out.
"Alright what have we.... wh...whaaa.... what is this....?"

Perfectly circular trenches, massive canyons stretching in straight lines, whatever this world was, it wasn't like anything seen before...

The exploration vessel landed a team in EVA suits to explore the world. Several Sune attempt to trace the energy readings when they came upon a wretchedly eroded cave. Or what looked like a cave. An archaeologist brushes the walls, finding them comparatively smooth compared to rocks. A wall. "The computer reports this stuff is.... -ancient-."
"No surprise, Dink. We find remains like this a few times."
"Not on a world like this. Thousands of years old... just wow. Talking.... Three to four thousand years old!"

As the explorer steps away, he steps into something... 'crunchy". He looks back and finds a heavily buried skeletal remains. Cursing his carelessness he brushes off the remains for a few moments then pauses.

The explorers dashed towards where they head a loud 'thump', finding one of their own has fainted. They see the skeletal remains of a Sune in front of him.

Recorded Sune history stretches only two thousand years back.

<~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Thousands of Years Ago~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~>

"I love them as only a mother can, and now I fear for them. I feel the winds of change begin to blow, and this time it may be an all out storm. I pray my children can weather this tempest. For nothing is immortal, and one day they may have to survive without me."

Aurasiru, it was the name the Ancient Sune gave their world. It meant along the lines of "Motherly/Living/Warm/Alive" or some combination to them. The Sune first awoke in what texts claim is a hallway to Aurasiru's Spirit, believed to be a temple of some kind built by what they believed to be mythical beings, the 'Fathers'. Legend holds the Fathers were old, and divisive, often fighting amongst themselves while Aurasiru was left behind to guide and raise the Sune. As such the Ancient Sune worshipped the planet as their mother and goddess. For thousands of years they wielded the gift of their fathers, the 'Soul Glimmer' perform magical deeds, see into the minds of great furred Dragons and beasts, as well as to the planet itself. Upon the world lie several other beings, similar to the Sune in their belief in an ancient Father yet so different. Frequently the 8 headed serpents did battle with the many tailed Sune with neither gaining any upper hand.

Aurasiru was a world of vast gifts and wonders. Massive towering obelisks of stone, shimmering emerald spires and spikes, shunts of titanium crystals sprout from the ground, rocks that shake themselves, and lands where the earth itself peels back like the skin of an apple. But what was most important was this "Glimmer" the Sune found and harvested. It was everywhere. Inside the Sune, inside the animals, inside the dirt and grass. Inside stone and water. It filled them with great joy, many of their kind even gathered great amounts of Glimmer and compressed them into coins for trade. The Sune have spread far and wide, ever loving their Mother Aurasiru, and Aurasiru loves them back.

One day, as a group of Sune alchemists and seers were experimenting with ways to predict the weather, they came across some odd findings. They consulted with the world, only to sense "Pained love and intense fear". They were horrified, something was wrong. Surely their magic was ill-applied to their situation. They reworked their experiments time and time again, finding inconclusive directions, yet Aurasiru remained fearful. The alchemists kept their watch for decades, yet still uncertain of what is happening. His assistant entered the labratory and removes his hood.

"Oh Mother... it's cold outdoors... colder than last year."
"Colder.... than last year..." one replies and checks his measurements. He shivered in chill and a slight worry.

The preceding decade has seen slight, but still observable, changes. Each winter after the last was longer and colder.

It would take a generation of studying and discovery but the findings were infallible: With every passing generation it will get colder, harsher, and longer. And yet that was only a part of it.
Earthquakes became more common, mountains exploded into burning hot volcanoes. Winds grew fierce and filled with ice stones, shredding whatever they came across.

One day, a Sune who's name was forever lost to history proclaimed to all their kind: "Mother is dying..."

<~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~>

In many respects, the Sune treated their religion as much as how they live themselves. Mothers and Fathers care for their young who grow, then soon pass on. Dismayed they were, they knew they had to move on when Aurasiru was dying. The atmosphere was being depleted somehow, the ground quaked and tore apart. They couldn't stay and struggled to learn, advance, and escape to survive, but their primitive technology and lack of understanding couldn't drive them far enough. However one small fact remained that brought hope.

The old Fathers.

The Sune have come along far enough to realize that these Fathers weren't untouchable mythical beings. They left many temples and ancient structures around Aurasiru, filled with writings and knowledge. They interacted with the world in ways they couldn't possibly understand. Forward thinking Sune even believe they may have been much like them in the past. Bridging the gap, these Sune searched far and wide for their birthplace, Aurasiru's Spirit. One day they found it.

Aurasiru's Spirit, to a mind around that of one in a Renaissance period, was an utterly alien encounter. It wasn't a temple so much as it was a cold, hard, metallic bowel. It was a lab, a massive facility where the explorers found thousands of ancient storage cylinders, all opened. The birthplace of their kind was a technologically advanced laboratory, filled with ancient knowledge. Exploring the dungeon, fighting ancient beasts, experiments, and monsters, the Sune discovered an old hangar containing a ship that flies under the stars. They have found a way to survive.

<~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~>

A massive cyclone the size of three mountains slashes across the land, a mountain getting in its way is shredded into a peppered husk, it's snow feeding the storm and flailing desolate cold, gray remains of what was once forests and green lands. Life is miserably difficult to survive, yet the generations of work needed to build, restore, construct ships to evacuate their kind runs on and on, relying on ancient Father technology that they don't understand to aid them in a task that might end in their undoing. Yet a chance is better than none. Eventually the Sune finally complete these ships, enough to evacuate their whole kind, or as many as they could find and gather.

As they boarded, every sune gave a last final look in the distance before fleeing onboard the ships, leaving one by one. As they all entered space, they marveled at the immeasurable size of their world, and shivered in fear as much of the world is either desolate or covered in ice, the few oceans and lakes left quickly vanishing into a haze. It was here in the deep dark that the Sune first turned white.

They would set off into the deep dark, exploring each speck in the sky to find a new world to settle upon, a new mother. It took generations of searching, living upon ships they don't even understand how it worked. The ancient computers and systems obeying what they ask it, find a new home. The ships eventually delivered them, finally, to a habitable world to call their own once more.

The Sune landed in solemn joy yet tempered by loss. Though livable, this world lacked the Glimmer that brought them such joy. After generations devoid of the Glimmer, the Sune could barely conjure up more than a faint blue matchfire. All they had left was their telekinesis. They spread from their ships, leaving them behind to found new homes.

<-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->

Aurasiru is an old world, filled with mysteries and laden with the ruins and ancient, mysterious civilizations. Long ago, far beyond the histories of the Sune,  Aurasiru was a planet sized lab dedicated to the life sciences. The 'Fathers' used the world, created creatures and races for their own study of life and evolution. Yet one day the Fathers went to war with each other, ending in their near extinction. What they left behind on Aurasiru were the Sune and countless creatures of their creation. No Sune knows why they were created, they don't even know who these Fathers were. But what they made transcended anything the Sune could fathom, only able to explain what they saw, controlled, and used as 'Magic'. The Glimmer itself a creation of the Fathers, equally mysterious and powerful.

Still, if any Sune could find their ancient lost home, it would be a miracle of the likes only magic could explain.

Putting this here so we can partly prepare for the coming event.

Don Oyakai

SPECIAL-
STR: 8
PER: 5
END: 8
CHA: 3
INT: 4
AGL: 7
LCK: 5

Class: Heavy Weapons Soldier.

Description:
Born to as of yet unknown parents, the Sune known as Donnie spent nearly the whole of this One-Tail life living in the city depths of the Sune Homeworld. Forced to look out for himself against various street thugs and vagrants, Donnie developed a strong hardiness and determination to push through obstacles rather than a focus on outsmarting others. Upon his Two-Tail day, he was offered an escape from the life of vagrancy via the early stages of the controversial Augmentation Program which sought to create super soldiers as a proof of concept. Donnie replied with "Yes". He was taken off the streets and put through the harsh trials of surgical augmentation. He left the ward a shaken, but more than Sune. He underwent basic training up to and throughout his Three-Tail years and served a tour of duty as a Soldier for 3 years before he quit, citing discrimination against his lack of formal education and social interaction. Upon turning Four-Tail, Donnie signed up aboard a Sune Science Cruiser as a Guard where he remains to this day. He retains his One-One Half Chevron rank from his days in Duty, making him a lower ranked member of the crew, but not diminishing his imposing capability he can bring to bear with heavy weapons.

Perks-
Augmented Body (Story): Donnie has underwent significant physical augmentation that enhanced his physical capabilities beyond that of a normal Sune. His bones are plated by a metal alloy, rendering his bones nigh unbreakable. His muscles are implanted with enhanced Myomers and laced with powerful dermal plate under the skin, making it difficult to penetrate as well as boosting regeneration. His fur is also enhanced with adaptive nanites that are able to adjust the makeup of each fur strand to overlap as a makeshift surface armor. In addition to the hardware, he has enhanced wetware in the form of cranial and spinal implants that boost his telekinesis focus and allow him to listen and talk on his communicator without speaking.

Items-

SI-1M B1G Powered Armor: A complimentary item part of Don's Augmentation, the SI-1M Powered Armor utilizes a collar stored Nano Assembler factory that uses a block of high density material to instantly fabricate a fully functional and fully assembled powered armor around Don which serves to power the immense SI-GR33N Heavy Plasma Cannon as well as stabilize Don's body against the gigantic recoil. The arm assembly is specially fabricated to mount heavy weapons and supply them with a physical power line to Don's Collar power supply. As the powered armor is as much as part of him as his augmentations, he was allowed to keep his old powered armor, albeit stripped of protective armor and life support. The powered armor's servos and artificial muscles provide Don with the necessary +2 STR statistic that allows him to wield heavy weapons. Upon equipping of heavy weapons, Don loses mobility and stands on his hind legs.

Combat Visor: Don's personal computing device is a half ring shaped headset wrapping around the back of his head and projects a visor hologram around his eyes, allowing for accurate target acquisition, range-finding, and targetting that links to his neural implants and weapons, allowing for accurate fire from a levitated position. However his PC lacks the sheer processing power to override terminals or attack other computers. It is, however, a sturdy piece of equipment with an estimated battery life of a hundred years and an external casing made of Adamantium.

SI-M3 Plasma Rifle: A large aperture energy weapon, the Plasma Rifle lays down heavy accurate firepower at a rapid rate. Though less maneuverable or concealable than a pistol, the Plasma Rifle makes up for being far superior at dealing damage at longer ranges and penetrating armor. When mounted on a Powered Armor's power line, the Plasma Rifle reconfigures into the SI-GR33n Plasma Cannon.

SI-GR33n Plasma Cannon: A reconfiguration of the SI-M3 upon attachment to a powered armor, the Plasma Cannon taps into the vast reserves of energy of a powered armor and charges energy blasts far greater than that of the Rifle. The resulting Plasma Bolt is so powerful it can burst vehicle armor, heavy armor, and powered armor. The weapon adds significant mass to the powered armor, making moving and shooting nearly impossible.

Work in Progress

-SUMMARY

SuneQuest is a story driven, paper RPG hybrid with an emphasis on simple gameplay mechanics and flexible storytelling with unpredictable elements that encourage players to adapt and create new stories. The players take on the role of a Sune, a technologically advanced, telekinetic race of multitailed foxes the size of a large dog, larger with their massive tails. The Sune are capable of many physical and telekinetic feats such as jumping great heights, running incredible speeds, and using their powers to manipulate their surroundings without using their thumbed paws. Every Sune has their own unique job, physical attributes, and personal temperament that affect how they play. Players will adventure through the Universe of SuneQuest and discover new races, fight space pirates, engage in heavy armor combat, and man their stations aboard their own space cruiser against hostiles. No one sune can be a master of everything, players must work together in order to achieve their goals, or fall to the many villains the Universe has to offer

Sune, a Primer

The Sune are a quadruped race of Vulpines with thumbs on their forepaws, who grow tails as they age typically every fifteen years up to a max of ten. A typical Sune can be up to one and a half meter long not counting the tail and weigh 150 pounds. All Sune are gifted with powerful Telekinetic abilities that grow stronger until they obtain 3 tails. From then on a Sune's power becomes increasingly more fine and precise. The ability to use Telekinesis has been an important part of Sune evolution, aiding in their ability to wield tools and weapons. It is this power that guided them to the stars.

Many legends from other space faring races have of the Sune exist and are often highly exaggerated of the Sune's own history and culture. One topic such as the ability to shapeshift as being entirely false as a significantly trained and aged Sune can use their telekinetic powers to alter the brain activity of another being to appear as something else or invisible entirely. Another legend is the Sune's ability to summon flames to attack an enemy, this legend is equally false as it is derived from the Sune's medieval history where they used their telekinesis to assault their opponents with torches or flaming balls of straw.

The Sune took to the stars centuries ago, an act that bleached any and all Sune's fur white that carried on to their children. Very few Sune remain their natural born fur color unless born planetside. As the Sune grew more technologically adept the Sune's natural appreciation for aesthetics allowed them to utilize their own bodies as a sort of expression of themselves, using nanotechnology to change their fur pigments on parts of their bodies to a color of their choosing. Some Sune have this information coded into their DNA, passing their color to their children.

Technologically, the Sune utilize advanced nano technology and energy weapons with a select few projectile based weapons. Elegance and efficiency drive the Sune's lust for technology, using their own natural abilities to push boundaries of construction and development. One such field is the area of Augmentation, a highly mixed and divisive topic, some Sune military foundations are experimenting on enhancing Sune as super soldiers while civil groups ponder its use towards construction. However, due to the Sune's reverence for one's body as an expression of themselves, many think that to augment one's body to be a gross topic and often ask the question how far can one go and still consider oneself Sune?

-STATS

There are two core sets of stats: Primary Statistics and Derived Statistics, each with their own important role to play in defining a character in addition to Skills, and Perks.

SPECIAL is the Primary Statistics of SuneQuest Each Sune and major character possesses a set of stats known as SPECIAL: Strength Perception Endurance Charisma Intelligence Agility Luck. Each stat defines a Sune's core capabilities and may not be changed over the course of the game unless certain extreme circumstances are involved such as Augmentation or Conditioning. See the section Changing Stats for more information. SPECIAL stats range from 1-10 and will never go below 1 or exceed 10.

STR: Determines the physical and mental fitness of a Sune. STR judges a Sune's ability to wield weapons larger than Small size as well as their ability to aim with Large weapons. STR also determines the individual's core melee damage power, though why a Sune would want to punch or bite a Nix Firemech is beyond me. In certain circumstances, STR may be checked to determine the outcome of an event, such as pushing an extremely heavy object.

PER: Determines the sensitivity of the Sune's ability to sense their surroundings whether visually, auditory, or by smell as well as the ability of a Sune to respond to changing events. A Sune with high perception takes their turn earlier than one with less. A Sune may perform a PER check to counter stealthy targets or to scan the area for traps. On a more verbal basis, a Sune may perform a PER check to see if an NPC is lying or leaving out important details.

END: Determines the physical and mental durability of a Sune as well as starting HP and how much HP is earned upon leveling up. Wearable items have a END requirement that must be met to be able to equip. An END check may be performed upon certain circumstances to keep a Sune conscious and able to move where otherwise it would be knocked out. Additionally, END determines the willpower of a Sune and whether or not he is able to keep under control in stressful circumstances.

CHA: Determines the empathic ability of a Sune to interact and communicate with others. CHA allows a Sune to coax or charm NPCs to do their bidding through verbal use alone. Additionally, CHA allows the Sune to better coordinate as well as helping Sune who failed a Willpower END check regain composure and control. In some cases, a high CHA will allow Sune to pass where in some circumstances otherwise would not be permitted access.

INT: Determines the smartness of a Sune and their ability to interact and manipulate complicated equipment or mathematics. A smart Sune can easily hack into computers, turning robotic enemies against their masters, hotwire mechanical equipment, repair and maintain objects, and decipher information.

AGL: Determines the physical quickness and spryness of the individual Sune. A Sune with high AGL will be able to fire certain weapons multiple times in a single round or dodge low AGL enemy attacks. A high AGL Sune may be able to even reach difficult places or avoid traps through athletic skill alone. AGL boosts certain weapon's accuracy, especially Small weapons.

LCK: Some characters are just gifted in some manner of sorts. LCK doesn't affect any item in SuneQuest in any reasonable manner and any Sune with a LCK of 5 will virtually never witness a LCK roll. A high LCK Sune, however, may find certain events tip the odds in their favor if applicable. Sune with LCK less than 5 will receive penalties to certain actions if the odds are not in its favor. Luck higher than 5 may receive benefits at certain times.

Telekinesis Modifiers

A Sune's ability to use telekinesis can have a drastic effect on any given circumstance vastly different than if attempted physically and open up significantly more options than one would normally be capable of. All Sune posses two Telekinesis ratings, Strength and Finesse (TK-STR TK-FIN). TK-STR is base 5 unless modified by a perk. TK-FIN is base 5 times the number of tails plus the STR statistic.

Role Play Theater / The Sune Role Play Character Sheet! (Not yet made <.<)
« on: November 14, 2013, 05:43:35 PM »
Vixens and Gentlefoxes, or specifically us Sunes, I'd like to make a set of character sheets for you to fill in details for your respective character. However this will be a somewhat difficult undertaking for various reasons:

1) I'd want a future RP to have some gamelike quality to keep everyone on their toes. It'd be more fun that way to manage resources.
2) It'd need to be clean, clear, and easily read with no obscurities.
3) I'd have to build it @.@

So pleasantsunes, provide me with character sheet references!!! Post any and all reference character sheets you know of from various games or pen and papers so I can craft a custom RPG sheet for you.

Also Roll Call! Sunes post here! Those who wish to join, please inquire! I will inquire about specific details later as a different topic or an extension of this one.

Forewarning
I'd like this team to be fairly fast and flexible in how we manage things, so there will be a hard cap on how many players we have. Currently a soft cap of 8.

Currently 7/8 Players

Random Topics / Race Dossier: Sune
« on: January 05, 2013, 12:16:46 AM »
An idea I like a lot has proven itself rather interesting to think about. I've drawn a few pictures of it already. So then, time to talk about the Space Kitsunes! Or Sune as they will be called.

Physical Description:
Sune are primarily quadrupedal however their tails can counterbalance, allowing them to stand on hind legs. Additionally their forepaws have opposable thumbs, plus their shoulder and shoulder blade structure differs slightly from normal canids, allowing them a larger range of motion. More or less a Sune can 'spread their arms' to the sides much as a human can. They are larger than normal canids, standing on all fours they are roughly one meter tall. These vulpinous creatures' most defining trait is the multitude of tails that they posses. Sune grow an additional tail every 15 years and have been known to have a life span of 150-175 years, and grow up to a maximum of 10 tails. The Sune are a Psionic race with limited telekinesis powers, of which the number of tails amplifies their power. Early Sune had earthen and natural colorization, however recent genetic engineering and popularization of fashion has led to many Sune permanently modifying their genes to produce vibrant and bright colors that do pass on to next generations. Sune deprived of sunlight for significant amounts of time or traveling in space often cause their fur to loose their natural tones and bleach pure white while maintaining their secondary colors.

Nature of Tails
Every 15 years a Sune grows an additional tail up to a maximum of 10, and for every additional tail they have been known to become even more powerful psionically. This is due to how their biology is set up to take advantage of not just their keen minds, but their whole nervous system. They channel their powers through their spine and into their tail which acts as a sort of beacon or antennae. The more tails a Sune has the more they can bend, shape, or form their intended action. The eldest Sune who remain sane enough to think coherently have been witnessed being able to quite literally mind control a weak minded victim. However reaching such untold level of power is difficult and often impossible as few Sune are able to reach the needed 10 tails and remain coherent due to age.

Technology
The Sune are a highly inquisitive and curious species, often limited due to their quadrupedal form, forming challenges in which to adapt and grow. They are a highly technologically advanced race bearing a mastery over the containment and use of plasma physics. They are capable of FTL travel and make heavy use of advanced shield technology. Their general architecture is often brightly colored, white, and elegant in form and shape. Sune take great pride in remaining presentable and fashionable.

Racial Legends
The Sune are infamous for two things aside from their tails: Fox Fire, and stealing husbands or wives.
These are common social misconceptions many races mistake the Sune for, however they aren't terribly incorrect either.

Fox Fire:
The Sune are famous for their mastery over plasma and magnetic containment, often weaponizing it on powered armor and ships. They appear as burning balls of energy able to move and curve, even float around the users. When needed they are flung at enemies dealing tremendous damage. Many races misconceive this as a fascination the Sune have. The truth lies in a particularly brutal and bloody part of Sune history. In their equivalent of a Medieval Period, the Sune warriors often marched into battle with a fair armored chestplate, helmet, gaintlets, and lots of flaming torches. During a close in melee, Sune warriors would attempt to burn their oppenents with flaming torches held aloft telekinetically, from multiple angles while attacking with bladed or blunted weapons. This style of combat lead to the vicious, and gruesome deaths of tens, possibly hundreds of thousands of Sune in their history until gunpowder was developed. By then just as many Sune died from fighting in rigid lines firing muzzle loaded rifles at one another while 'Runners' with said rifles strapped to their sides, aimed and reloaded telekinetically would flank and fire on enemy lines.

Compulsive Adultery:
Ancient Sune were generally known for leaving family groups and roaming around looking for mates, often by stealing one from others. This has carried on in their history for a very long time and many aliens are correct in keeping a sharp eye on Sunes seeking love. However this misconception, again is born of history. Ancient Sune females would often roam and lure out dissatisfied, taken males away from their former mates and procreate from there. Whether or not the cycle repeats depends on just how satisfied both parties are. However as they developed agriculture and began accumulating in urban centers, the compulsion to take another one's mate has been looked down upon. Many tales appear in their Medieval Period regarding this compulsion, such as Romantic stories of how a dissatisfied prince is lured away from home by a beggar female, finding true love regardless of wealth, only to be punished in the end.
The modern Sune look down heavily upon adultery, however for different reasons, primarily reputation. A compulsive adulterer is known for one thing: Lack of commitment, and word gets around fast. Few Sune would allow a compulsive adulterer to work under them as they are difficult to predict and often make poor long term workers, plus they develop a reputation of being untrustworthy. Although the Sune divorce rate remains rather high for a single pair species, Sune rarely go out to steal taken mates, and many Sune value commitment over blind love. For better or worse, this historic attribute has labeled them the Galaxy's Seductress.

Racial Preferences
Inquisitive: Highly intelligent, curious, and always seeking more questions rather than answers, they have special research improvements available.
Obsessive Presentation: Sune care heavily about presentation and good looks while at the same time trying to keep things practical. Their ships are beautiful and well crafted, however as Sune often compare their ships to one's own bodies, punching holes in the skin is a horrifying and gruesome experience. They prefer to use shields over armor to keep from being wounded.
At Arm's Length: Although a cornered Sune is incredibly dangerous, they prefer to keep foes at arm's length rather than getting sucked into a brawl. They specialize in long range standoff equipment but have very basic close range armaments.
Brain Fame: The Sune are famous for their psionic potential, and often make use of it even in space combat. Powerful Sune use special tech to project their power, allowing them to perform feats few races could achieve.
Galactic Stigma: They are often known as the Galaxy's Seductress, and few races wish to get too close to the Sune for fear of being manipulated or toyed with. Similarly other races tend to try to form stronger bonds with one another as to not be tempted. Although these attempts are largely fruitless as Sune don't care much for interspecies relationships. Still, Sune will find it harder to form close alliances.

Good god I don't know what my mind was keeping from me but last night I had the awesomest dream ever @.@.

First one was in a theater, gonna watch a movie, then on the screen a game trailer for my character Greg came up. It started with a panning shot of an egyptian princess opening a chest and revealing a glowing red crystal. She uses it to coax Greg to do what she wants for a time. Lots of action scenes, showing off moves. Can't remember much sadly.

Second is sort of a movie trailer, a building is collapsing due to some kind of massive machine underneath. Some people are stuck in an elevator but suddenly everything stops shaking. Camera changes to underground where there's a massive generator, turned off and a gray fox wearing red walks off, exactly like an image I had formulated earlier.

*Squeee* so awesome the scenes were in my mind that I woke up earlier than usual!

So since I found a tablet monitor that is more closely within practicality of obtaining, I've become quite interested in comicking sometime. A larger monitor means less eye strain and access to my desktop to be upgraded. There are lots of possibilities, many of which can be amazing, but I'd like to at least plan things out to a slight degree! So here are some details in the plot ideas I have. Please vote!

Greg (no title)
A young gray fox kit living alone in the forest suddenly has his very existence thrown upside down and blended as dark beings inhabiting the void between universes spills into his world and take Greg with them. Poisoned by the dark void, his soul is split asunder and thrown to the corners of all universes. Before he could be consumed by the void, a friendly being rescues him and offers him this ultimatum: "Until you are whole again, you are a hole in reality where the darkness will spill forth." Gifted with new powers as he travels each universe, he must reclaim his fragments if he has any hope of returning home. The journey is long, dangerous, and won't end well for the young kit.

OL1
The starting tale of the OL series follows Hanse Akayuki leaving his home of Edo to the far seas and lands in the hopes of bringing honor back to his family. A disgrace and a foreigner, Hanse struggled his whole life being an adopted child. It is on his journeys he encounters many friends to help him on his soul searching, and making a great deal of enemies due to his blunders.

OL2
20 years after OL1, Academic, Scholar and Geek Mage Kuriana is studying the nature of how magic energy in the land began and was close to a major discovery until a mysterious fire destroyed her personal library and research office AND the entire university she worked in. The fire was a deliberate act and a letter was left behind, solidifying the Academic society to expel Kuri for fear of their hides. Left destitute with only her robes, book of runes, magic staff, and her witty mind, she seeks to rebuild her life and discover why her searching for knowledge was a threat.... and it all starts in this mercenary job... how hard could it be?

OL3
100 years after OL1, the world has been wrought with grand change as enlightened ideas spread through the region. Old monarchies are being crushed by the very people they claimed power over, new technologies so powerful they rival the old magic guard in possibilities. In a large port city known as Red Cliffs, young and beautiful Iasha attends an invitational dance ball with the city's upper class residents. However, in secret, Iasha has constructed a sizable armory of weapons and ammo for a building rebellion to launch the next day. To say things go wrong is an understatement as she is promptly betrayed by those she sought to assist and her own family disowns her for virtually destroying everything they held dear. In agony she seeks out the leader of the rebellion and has a .75 caliber lead ball and a pistol to settle with him, but no level of vengeance will see her accepted again in Red Cliffs. She leaves for an Edo in conflict when the ordeal is done where she will meet someone who will change the face of the planet.

Soooooo we got our black lab Jackson back and he seems to get along just fine with Sailor. Not that the two play with each other though.

Jackson: 78lbs, Black Labrador. Overweight, loyal, highly unenthusiastic.
Sailor: 19lbs, Cockerspaniel Pomeranian Mix. Independent, excitable, opportunist, highly enthusiastic.

So what happened? We gave Jackson his oral treat. He took it and walked off like a loyal pet.... then Sailor jumps in and STEALS the treat out of Jackson's mouth. Ever since we took Jackson on a walk with Sailor, Sailor has constantly been trying to 'one up' Jackson in every respect. However we leashed them two together so Jackson's lack of care for anything but Dad restrained Sailor the entire time!

I'll upload a vid sometime.

I had a strange strange dream last night of which I believe is highly influenced by Final Fantasy >_>.

It begins with  a young scientist and his father working on something tremendous that'd unlock the secrets of all things. The young one reviewed the prophecy on the stone wall and as far as he could read it some kind of object with two heads would be impaled upon by two electrode gauntlets. Although he couldn't understand the last bit he and his father completed a glove device that could harness the power of crystals to warp reality. The young one put his own large gauntlets on and wondered where would they find this object. To the young one's dismay his father jabbed both large hands into the son's chest. The image soon came to mind from the wall.... the boy had his arms held up, it looked like two heads.

He later wakes up in the middle of a sort of.... something. He can't tell as he feels his vision lost.... or rather the only thing he can see is a blinding light that he cannot obscure or dim in any way possible. His body felt odd as he felt he had a snout of some kind and a tail and walked on toes. He fell around for some time until he developed a sort of power of prophecy. He could finally move around and see the surroundings.... though the short time delay was not enjoyable. Further yet his memory was fuzzy. All he could remember was the stone wall and his father's betrayal.

Time goes on as he travels and he finds himself in a rather fantasy-ish world, complete with strange creatures and moogles. Although many didn't find his appearance too outlandish, it became common knowledge to see him as cursed. It didn't help that he often recoiled back and try to cover his face when the blinding light in his eyes, even when closed, suddenly gets stronger. Eventually his ability to dodge misshaps and assaults through his ability to foresee the future moments before it happened gained word and a few lofty adventurers wanted him to accompany them. Boy would this spark the adventure of a life time.

One day the group were teleported into a sort of pocket dimension... and the cursed fuzzy's dad appears in front of them as a giant head. At first the boy was relieved to see pops again..... until he sensed that he was of course... evil. Consumed by demonic magics. Indeed it was true, the daddy turned into a beastly demon and the boy managed to work his own focus to get out of there after a boss battle.

Then the dream ended  [fox].

Combat Stats:
The boy, oddly named Ramza in my dream, is by all intents an anthro now but he's basically the opposite of blind since all he see's is a bright light. He uses his ability to see moments into the future to even see anything. This has a few perks as his evasion rate is through the roof. He uses a longsword as a weapon and can use buff/debuff magics.

STR: 4/10
PER: 10/10
END: 3/10
CHA: 4/10
INT: 8/10
AGL: 10/10
LCK: 5/10
