Random Topics / Amazing Moments in my DnD campaigns.
« on: July 10, 2016, 12:16:16 AM »
I make the world... My players break it into a million pieces.  The following logs will be entries of amazing rolls and roleplayed events that take place in my DnD (or other roleplaying) games.

Entry 001:

One Shot Campaign, Rithian's Lair

Lets just describe the final scene in detail. So the party had taken down a corrupted vorpal blade that managed to behead one of them and eventually killed itself. They stumbled upon an elite guard that was hunting them from the noise of this battle.  Battleworn they fought slowly powering down the group of Ifreeti.  Two of the Ifreeti stayed trapped in a mass of blades and tentacles from two of the casters, trying to escape this nightmare of eldritch horrors and blades.  Finally the last guard stands, in its final breathe it throws up a wall of fire around all but one of the heros laughing maniacally while doing so. One of the Warlocks almost perishes in the flames barely crawling out of them unconscious.  The recently revived monk turns to her bard companion in the wall of fire and says "You're going to like this." The monk kicks off the floor with such force that the flames are dispersed around her. She dodges through the blades and eldritch horrors restraining the final guard.... and kicks it once... the creature hits the ceiling from the blow. She leaps after it... and kicks it again... the creature dents the ceiling greatly stone cracking around it.... Finally with a yell she delivers a blow so hard the creature is propelled through several hundred feet of reinforced stone and earth into the blue sky above dissipating its fiery corpse into nothing but steam. The dying warlock is shaken awake by the bard.  The two warlocks and bard stare in amazement as the halfling monk lands gracefully like an angel.  Sunlight pours into the once dimly lit area as the four retire for much deserved rest.

hmmm.. Toast kinda made me think of doing this, give credit to him for me actually .. writing... kinda ?
Been trying to write Tales of a Fox for a long long time now. 90% of the content in the story comes in dreams, whether they be daydreams or sleeping ones. Anyway, every time I sit down to write it on paper or type it on a computer I never can feel the words giving justice to the way I see it. Also the dreams all happen at different time periods and places within the story... like a video set on randomize with the scene selection. So putting it on paper is hard. Anyway, I've decided to release it in a different way... through story telling I suppose, going to try it and see how it works.

The first part of Tales of a Fox came from a nightmare rather. I pictured a young girl with silver hair running from these shadow like beings.... later I named these beings wraiths.. but that is much much later, for now they were just ominous things that wanted her ... dead I suppose.. Anyway the girl ran and hid much as she could trying her best to escape. She was almost cornered sprinting across and open field towards a house with no windows or doors. It was there in my dream she plunged into the wall and went through it. Not through as in crashing through the solid wall, but through as in passing through it like it never existed to her. Within the house she fumbled around in the dark hearing the screeching and hissing of the things that were chasing her outside clawing and scratching at the wall before finally silence. Now in my dream I was seeing what the girl was seeing at this point. Pitch blackness... like staring into a cave at midnight with no moon. It was like I was watching what she was, but had no control. She fumbled in the dark a bit and finally found a table and chair. I listened as I heard several clicks and then brightness from an oil lamp on the center of the table. Across the table in the eerie lamp light stood a young ... thing. It looked like a little boy, but it had a khaki colored hooded cloak and you couldn't see its face. At this point I was filled with a bit of a chill and my heart was racing, because in my mind I knew this couldn't be something that would end well. The girl said hello to the boy but no response came. She went to reach across the table to try and touch the boy. As she moved though he seemed to move through the table and reached his hand through her clothing... her skin and into her very being. I felt cold inside like I was being drained of life like she probably was. The "thing" clutching her "soul" or "essence" still had most of its face shrouded but this sinister smile, imagine a jack-o-lantern or clown or whatever your darkest fear is just smiling at you ... with a look of pure hate, disgust, anger, and lust all at once in a joyful smile. That is what I was picturing. You could describe it as pure darkness I guess. I could hear the girl coughing and gagging and then the entire thing dimmed and I woke up in a start... didn't sleep much the rest of that night.

As any of you have read the Prologue, this was the first dream. The very first... before Niro even. This was from when I was ... 13-14 maybe I think. Like I said I've been working on Tales of a Fox for a long time. Anyway, I later added the name Tessa to the girl I saw, Tess for short. She makes another appearance much much later, but for now it was just a normal nightmare that woke me. The Wraiths... weren't named Wraiths for a long time either, instead I just called them "Dark Ones" ... but again they didn't even have that name til a few dreams later. For some reason the young boy I knew exactly his name from this dream. He never made a sound as he killed that poor girl other than an evil laugh at one point or another in the chaos, and I called him The Silent One. He haunted my dreams a few more times to come and has a real name but I'll get to that later.

For now I'll stop this long rant or story telling, just a bit of background on how it came to be and such. I'll give the next story in sequence probably tomorrow. I did thoroughly enjoy telling it this way rather than worrying about grammar or adverbs/adjectives to describe the whole mess. Just kinda let it come out the way it was pictured. Hope you enjoyed.

Game Room / Worms Reloaded: Game Lottery
« on: September 12, 2010, 01:57:56 AM »
Okay I've decided to buy the 4 pack for worms and so far 4 people (5 including myself) are interested in it. Well I myself am going to take one of the packs of course >.> Leaving 3 up for grabs. So I've decided to hold a contest or Lottery of sorts for the others out of fairness.

Rules are simple. Register on here, I'll make a list of those that do under this post. I'll give this Sunday and Monday of US Central time to register. Then of those that register I will have them roll 1 die while I'm in chat with them and I'll mark it by their name on here. All are free to register just know you need to have a steam account. It will be a 1 out of 100 roll for my number. The 3 closest after all are tallied get the packs. In the event of a tie for the last position(s) then the ones that tie will have to reroll.
Thanks sorry for those that don't win... just best way I can be fair and not say yes or no to people. ^__^

Art Gallery / Some Old Stuff

My friend spent the weekend over at my house and we were just fooling around when he came across a pile of my old books from highschool in my closet. With his help I went through them throwing out what I didn't need and such. I then came across something I'd forgotten about. This small little sketch and writing notebook I'd had as a freshman in highschool. The same friend that was over is the one that I'd made some of these sketches for/with. These drawings were probably done when I was 13 or 14 I can't really remember, but I've apparently been the waffle fox a lot longer than I knew. These are just a few sketches of Waffles(Me) and Izu(my friend). Just thought I'd share and say that irony has a funny way of finding me. >.>

Just a logo I did out of boredom ^^; http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/4659/img000025.jpg

Writer's Guild / The Tower of Kershoft! Kinda er soft.
« on: February 22, 2010, 11:07:02 PM »
This is the story of a fox and a dream! He wished for a tower while rolling one faithful day in the newly added Theater. Then a thought hit him! A thought that if there was no tower, he should make his own! A grand and noble tower! So the restless were-fox went to work! He tore many chairs and carpet from the floor and gathered many seat cushions! Then he stacked the chairs together in a very unstable fashion and coated the skeletal chair frame of the tower in carpet! The top of the tower he layered with cushions and then went to get nails in order to complete his masterpiece. He secured the makeshift tower together and dubbed it Kershoft Tower! It was to forever reside in the far back left corner of the Theater where he would happily guard and rule it as his own.
But Alas! Good things cannot last forever. A fiend by the name of LoCk approach the tower with an axe of pure discord! The were-fox helplessly tossed cushions at him to defend his newly made masterpiece, but it was no use! LoCk cleaved away the cushions as if they were nothing but fluff!
Then the unspeakable happened! LoCk set a blaze to the mighty tower and it burned with the fury of a thousand chairs! Niro leapt from his throne and watched sadly as his domain burned to the floor. He bowed his head in somber silence, but then noticed a new sound! LoCk, the very fiend that had burned his tower to ashes, was now constructing a new tower! A much grander one of brick and stones! Niro argued, "This tower will not be soft and therefore the name cannot be Kershoft!" Then LoCk held aloft the one true softness.. Pillows! Niro was pleased with the idea and so the tower's construction was continued! A dragon known as Kampkraft lurked and watched on as the tower of brick and pillows rose higher into the Theater. The master architect LoCk worked at miraculous speeds and made the 100 foot tall tower in mere minutes! It soon rose higher than even Kampkraft stood tall! LoCK sped from the peaks of the newly finished second tower and then etched upon its wall the story of Kershoft. To this very day the tower still stands. And that is the story of Kinda er soft. Niro rules from atop it happily and quietly in the Theater's corner, guarding all within its reach.

Writer's Guild / Tales of a Fox: Update page
« on: February 21, 2010, 02:09:05 PM »
Niro here and today I will be revealing a bit of my ever continuing and probably never going to be finished novel... Tales of a Fox!

Topics to cover:
Wraiths
The Fade
Death of Tess (Prologue)
Chapter 1 (or parts of it at least)
Revamp on The Fade (have a few changes to make)

(Suggest something you want to know about I may add it)

Ahem... Todays topic will be none other than Wraiths!
Wraiths prey on anything living mainly to feed or breed. Wraiths cannot breed amongst themselves and therefore change or turn others into one of their own. Now Wraiths are pretty much the source of evil, turmoil, and all that other malicious happenings in Endorance. Wraiths in general are corporeal beings that are also phantom like in appearance. Wraiths can sometimes be hard to identify due to the many varying appearances and types. There are six known sub categories of Wraith, each more deadly than the last, but we'll get to that in a moment. A wraith is created under two known circumstances, a person is killed by a higher class wraith(4-6) and the body is transmuted, or a dark ritual is performed binding the body to soul. The latter causes a person to live eternally, but the body will continue to rot with time and eventually only a tainted soul remains.

Okay lets get on to the class of Wraiths.

Class 1 Rots
Rots are the lowest class of Wraiths. Any race or creature can become a Rot, they are identified by pale or rotting flesh. However, newly formed rots can be tricky to spot. These are normally formed by the ritual above. They can simply be killed by destroying the brain, body, or releasing the soul with a certain spell or incantation. Destroy them quickly. They are weak and frail alone, but lethal in larger groups.
