Obviously he has something different in mind for our deuteragonist. I have the feeling it won't be much of an improvement. In legends kitsunebi - foxfire - was a Japanese Will'o'the'wisp. It also was the source of their illusions and could serve many purposes. He whacked Saida with foxfire for... something.

Transformation, maybe? That's their #1 natural skill. And his sinister "I can fix that" would seem to suggest that's what he had in mind.

Ya, this feels like massive gaslighting. As all she did was get Angry at him for what he said. How exactly dose that make her a Volcano dragon Or further more brand? Like if she started to have irrational hated for the quetz then sure. I could see that. But all she did was get mad over the taunting. I think everyone would get mad at that regardless of your species. Hell Sadia mom got pissed off at brand when he taunted her. as removing his wings was kinda petty thing to do.
