At least he's not doing a villain song.

That's some nasty gaslighting. Who needs a villain song when you can twist your target's brain cattywampus? Who does this creature think he is, Hannibal Lecter?

Roko's hoshi no tama was stolen, but Suzocon puts just enough truth in it for his lies to stick: Were he in a living kitsune body, the loss of it would be a REALLY BIG PROBLEM. But in this degraded state, his link to it is weaker, so he can live without it for a while. And that's just as big a problem. Not to mention that he picked up Celarius' Shock Jockey vigor; did he also pick up part of the monster's brain?

And once he's twisted Roko's brain with this stuff, Suzocon offers the easy way out: The Jaunt. Except... exactly how many other options are there? If someone generated a new kitsune body for him, would occupying it solve the problem? He seemed to do okay in the dolphin's body without mana.

Roko better have learned by now: Suzocon uses partial truths as weapons, every bit as much as foxfire spears. He's not telling Roko the whole story, but he knows: The very best lies are those that have some truth backing them. Cunning nogitsune blandishments aren't the answer, but... neither is devouring your friends. As much as this malign, corrupt and dishonorable dog of a kitsune may be arguing in bad faith, he has a point. And that's the most dangerous villain of all.

Bravo, Virmir. He may have been a recycled extra, but Suzocon is one memorable villain. He's the best modern nogitsune character I know.

Ya, not going to lie you are kinda right about that. That is some horrible gas lighting. Specialty considering that if roko accepts this deal. He will Definitely not be coming back.

I would compare this to Melting down a car. Sure you can melt down the metal and Use it to rebuild a new car. But is it the same car? Just because it has the same metal in it? In my eyes no, it is fundamentally a different car.

roko would be used as a base resource. Hell you could compare it to say the philosopher's stone in say full metal alchemist. As sure they used human souls as a resource to make said stone. That said the human souls are not exactly their anymore. Ya turns out being lost in a hurricane of chaos, pain and agony is enough to Wipe a human soul clean. No different from what happened to roko.

the Rat is just using roko as a resource to be used and expended. As really if he cared that much about souls. He could you know just kill some creatures and use their souls as fuel for his experiments. Thinking about it, why hasn't he done that yet? Or is that what he did originally?

I mean, those little reapers exist to ensure that spirits don't grow wildly out of control from devouring other souls, and Roko's eaten a *lot* of them for his survival.  It wouldn't be a stretch to say that he could become nothing more than a hungry husk of his former self.

Well, technically he's not eating souls but lifeforce. At first, he scavenged lifeforce left behind after dying, like the Reapers. But now he's graduated to being a predator. And if he's allowed to grow out of control, the entire world becomes a stable necrosis in which the only living thing is the Blight, what is left of Roko.

Suzocon's proposed solution is just murdering Roko and using the empty shell, mana and all, to power one of his Miyo homunculi. They better start looking for a third option, and soon.

Funny bit is he more or less could Just remake roko body if he wanted to. Not sure how exactly he is going to Bind his soul to it. But hey he has cloning tech. Maybe all you really need is the right body for the right soul. Either that or his soul was damaged due to messing with the eye.

Regardless thou The tailed dick has options. options he dose not want to do because all he cares about is becoming the god of life. Which is funny for someone who cares so little about it.

Much I hate to be That Guy ("Akschullally") he doesn't want to be the god of life. He wants to be a god, PERIOD. He figures that figuring out the secret to creating life both gets him his first worshipper and gets him godhood.

Were this classic kitsune lore, Suzocon would be a nogitsune trying to gain unearned and unsanctioned kami status. The normal way to do that is by pledging oneself to O-Inari. Suzucon ain't pledged to nobody, but he WANTS that tenko-kitsune status, because that means he can go toe to toe with the actual kami of this world.

He's corrupt and evil, but that ain't stopping him looking for loopholes. Seven tailed rat is right.
