Hearing the man announce himself as a prescient (or at least that was his title) was certainly an interesting thing. What talents did this man have however? Surely one who is prescient can manipulate things as to gather his required information in many ways. Andrei however decided to keep quiet, trying to discern whether the man is matching up his facts with the truth or he is purposefully keeping some sensitive information unheard.

((Sorry for the sudden hiatus. >Insert generic blaming on school and life in general< :p. MMORPGs also don't tend to mix well with one's muse.))

Check Result: As far as you can tell, Valthrun is not lying. What you know of the area's history matches up with his account of the keep as well.

Thanking Valthrun for your time, you all finish your breakfast and prepare to set out for the keep. Will you perform some preperations around town first, or head out immediately?

Ssiran, having nothing to do in town at the moment, is all for heading out immediately.  He will, however, wait for the rest of the group, should they see fit to do anything more in town.

I turn back from the bar and look at the paladin. "Can go whenever we're ready." I smile widely, flashing most of my teeth, and add "I'd never suspect a village inn like this one would serve such a good tea... usually it's "either ale, or ale"." Afterwards, I return to lapping the beverage.

Thanks for reading,

Naito finished off his water and sat the class down. "Well, I believe I will acquire a few more daggers, perhaps five, before we go; if we get into any more skirmishes, it would be wise for me to be capable of making as many attacks from a distance without requiring the time needed to retrieve a blade already thrown."

Geary: That means you get a companion for four levels, then it gets an upgrade.
Draykin: A very PAINFUL upgrade.

I stand up, swish my tail and pick up my musket.  I then shake my head and say,

"I'm afraid that is out of the question, the shops here don't seem to have any weapons, just horribly over-priced adventuring gear.  Unless you want some expensive rope I wouldn't bother with the shops."

"Old soldiers never die, they just fade away for a little while..."

Naito, upon hearing there were no places to obtain weapons in the vicinity, grumbled and crossed his arm in a rather child-like manor. "Blasted backwash towns, no wonder they're raided so easily..."

"Relax, Naito.  I am certain your current equipment will suffice."

Ssiran stretches, then continues.  "Seems to me there's nothing keeping us here.  Shall we be off?"

"There's nothing interesting here, so yes I don't mind taking off right now." Andrei then followed the paladin and kept out an eye on the village.

"I think Im ok. Mt rations should last for the time being." Krim says as he checks his stuff one time over.

(Would Travelers Chant be useful in speeding us there or is this a short journey?)

((Don't know how long the journey is, but don't you get one free ritual per day?))

((Unrelated, but possibly significant;  back home, but job interview on the morrow.  I may be erratic in my appearances.))

You make your way out of Winterhaven and begin the trek to the keep. The shadowy towers loom over you as you make your way around the cliffside it is situated on. Though the fastest way would be to simply cut through the surrounding forrest, the dense foliage deters you and instead you stick to the path as it winds around the cliffs. ((green squares, which will be fairly common for the next little bit, are areas of dense foliage. Although they give cover/concealment, they are difficult terrain and cost 2 squares to move through.))

Please indicate your marching order.

(Ooc: Ill take somewhere in the middle) As the group prepares themselves for a the journey ahead, Krim pulls out a small ocarina, and sets it to his beak. Blowing on it, he begins to play a light hearted tune which seems give energy to the others and raid spirits.
