Were you unable to outline it digitally or something? Nice drawing.

I could have outlined it on MS Paint ... but that would be worse than sharpie inking I think ....
Probably going to just leave all my drawings in sketch form from this point on til I buy more felt tip pens.

I have no tablet or decent drawing program ^^

I just draw on paper...it is a bit wasteful, but as little as I draw it saves me a lot of money.

If you have an art store near by, check out some Faber Castel pens.  They're not that expensive, and great for inking. I did a few early comics with them before I started inking digitally. [:)

Also, cool pic!

Looks nice, even with the Sharpie inking.  {;)  For digital inking I recommend GIMP.  It's free, has layers, and in my opinion it's better than MSPaint.  Your mileage may vary though.  I don't have a tablet either, so if I really need a smooth line GIMP's Path tool comes in handy.  Keep up the good work, and good luck.  {:P

I believe that all of Dragyn's digital inking and coloring is done with mouse in Paint.NET. This program has a metric ton of plugins available, tho, so you may want to ask if he's using the base tools or something from an extension.
GIMP is kinda... idiosyncratic and hard to get along, IMO.

Thanks for reading,

Thank you for the tips and such. I'll look into these pens and programs. I happened to come across that felt pen I was looking for this morning while straightening up .... -sigh-

Might be a while before I'm on the chat, some things have come up.

Nah.  I only use the basic tools.  Even the filters I use are standard, these days.

I like it, 'cuz it's simple.  Some people don't like it, for just that reason.

Haha sometimes Simple is the best way to go!

You can try the 'Linework' (Vector) layers in SAI, you can manually adjust pressure without a pen, if you are dedicated or something </random idea>

Well, as opposed to GIMP and Paint.NET, SAI isn't free... so it introduces additional complication OR cost...

There's a solution to that "isn't free" clause....
