For the last 5 years or more Ive been autohiding it, just so I can get a few more pixels for my windows!
but recently with me chatting more! ]:P Ive been needing to change windows more often, so Ive turned it off!.

On a related note, if you guys use windows 7, do you extend out the icons to show the names of the program? or leave it at the windows 7 default of icons only? ]:) hehe thankies!

Yeah, I don't like the autohide.

And I tend to have it show titles with the icons, unless I've got a bunch of windows open, though I use the smaller icons.

I use the Taskbar with Icons. Seems much cleaner to me. I do Autohide as well, but only during LoL where I can't see the very bottom of the game.

I autohide the taskbar and use ObjectDock for the important things.  I just like the 16 or so extra pixels of height.  :P

Have autohide disabled, along with pretty much everything introduced in Windows 7... or XP for that matter. Nice plain simple, functional Windows 2000-ish taskbar and window look and functionality for me. [;)

You can kinda see it in this pic if you squint. http://gallery.virmir.com/main.php?g2_itemId=1261

Edit: Actually that pic doesn't show the Win XP-ish quick launch icons, which I brought back. [;)

I do use autohide! I also keep my taskbar on the right side of the screen, which I actually find really convenient because that's where my browser's home, bookmarks, minimize/maximize/close and search bar are as well. So I basically have one corner of the screen that handles the majority of my browser stuff, my windows, start menu, and all that good stuff.

Oh, I also don't show the names, because I know all my programs by icon!

I've stopped using autohide somewhere around 2005.
Keeping my taskbar docked at top of the screen, with names visible.

Thanks for reading,
