Metamor Keep RP (?)

[Kiba]

"...the roof? But... okay. Thank you doctor Coe." I pick up Donnie and reposition him on a bed so that he's more comfortable.
"I'll stand here 'till you need me. Tell me when you want me to nuetralize his pain." I say as I stroke Donnie's ears.

"Hey... how'd you know about Silrays? No one's supposed to have heard of them until Donnie came along."

[Donnie]

(Indeed he is supposed to be a complete unknown >_>)
Donnie grumbled and groaned, seeing stars in front of his eyes.

[Kiba]

"Shhhhshhh... it's gonna be okay. You're apparently allergic to milk or something. We had to empty your stomach." I say, rubbing his belly. I note that the fur under his tunic is remarkably soft.

"Did you know you can't drink milk? It would have been a useful bit of knowledge. I wouldn't have put any in your coffee otherwise."

[Donnie]

"N...no... never had... m...milk... buaww... they said... too expensive @_@."

[Kiba]

"Well okay... we'll have to watch out for other things you may be allergic to, then. You should rest. I'll have some food brought in for you when you wake up." I say as I stroke his head, knowing how much he loves being pet.

[Fen]

* Fenrs , once outside, jumps up onto the roof and looks over the surroundings.

"Ah. the breeze feels good. I need to come up to these sorts of places more often.."

[Geary]

Coe smiled at Kiba's show of affection to Donnie. "To answer your question, one of my old friends was a breeder, and I remember him telling me about the Silrays, how you could only get them through inbreeding, how they were allergic to milk... and how valuable their pelts are. For his sake, he should not leave the Keep's walls, who knows what sick people would like a new fur coat of the rarest fox there is?"

[Kiba]

"But then... how would he keep turn Donnie into a creature that needs a special breeding technique to create? Shouldn't it not know about them? Or at least just create -natural- animals out of people?"

"Shhh... you need rest..." I continue trying to coax him to sleep.

[Geary]

Coe nodded. "Well, there are some things that may have influenced the change. Was Donnie ever a subject of inbreeding? If not... I can only think of one other reason why, aside from pure chance."

[Kiba]

"He may have been... his history is entirely unknown. What's your idea?"

[Geary]

Coe looked at Donnie sympathetically. "Well... it's the other thing about Silrays, they're... well... 'special'. They have poor learning abilities, and even then, even if they're fully grown, they'll make the same mistakes kits would know not to do. So I was thinking... that may have been an influential factor. He may have supposed to turned into a regular gray, but his 'condition' may have influenced the curse. We both know, you especially, that many things can affect the Keep's magic, the curse is no exception."

[Kiba]

"So I guess his similarities to a silray as a human caused him to become an actual silray with the curse...? That didn't happen to me... but this damned curse is a fickle thing, isn't it?"

[Geary]

Coe nodded. "The curse is different for every individual. Who knows? Maybe one day there will be a human who isn't affected by the curse."

[Kiba]

"If only it could've been me." I sigh. "Oh well. I'm comfortable enough with it, I guess. I suppose it's for the better. I don't... remember much from the change. I was in such a state of shock I couldn't think clearly at all. I just... just... ran. As fast as I could..." I say, beginning to zone out. "Alongside the wall of the Keep... trying to escape..."

[Geary]

Coe returned his gaze to Kiba. "For those who are unaware of or think they won't be affected by the curse, that seems to be the most common memory, though usually it's much slower paced then what yours was."
