the "don't role reverse me" line is most probably about needing help in general. i may be mistaken since my memory is as good as a goldfish with alzheimers, but he seemed pretty serious about being independent and all, and being comforted may give him the impression that he's been seen otherwise.
again though, don't take my word for it lmfao
