Topic name speaks for itself, criticism is welcome.

Starting of with some sketches of my character, Ty:

Probably going to clean them up and remove the shading layers to use for the reference sheet that I've put off drawing for the past few years.

Role Play Theater / Character updates!
« on: December 10, 2018, 03:47:20 PM »
So, as some of you know, I have the versions of Cosmic referred to as Ty and Terra, the magical tiger forms. I've been refining their characters, and now I'mgiving everyone an update! First off, there is only the toon versions. That's really it right there.

Now for personalities. Ty is more outgoing, easy to get along with, and he's a jokester. The gauntlet is primarily for controlling the magic he doesn't know how to use, so he's not always going to be seen with it on. He's combat-oriented and skilled with other random, useless magics.

Terra, Ty's female counterpart, however, is quiet and reserved, unless she's around people she's comfortable with.. She often zones out in conversations, and gets embarrassed easily. She has elemental, nature, and healing magic, making her quite powerful.

Writer's Guild / Yet Another Thing has Happened.
« on: December 09, 2018, 06:16:54 PM »
So, here's a random story that I came up with earlier today. Kyle makes an appearance, by the the way. Will expand later.

      We were running away.
Quite a spectacle, really: two cartoony, anthromorphic animals - a tiger with glowing blue stripes and an otter with red tattoos and a robe - being chased by soldiers clad in white armor, blasting laser rifles.
Why were we running, you ask? Oh, the usual, trying to start a revolution on a planet under the tyrannical rule of a galaxy's greatest threat. Hey, didn't say it was normal everywhere.
Racing through the cavern lit only by my stripes and Kyle's lightsaber and Nordic rune,  we eventually came across a large chasm.
"Why is there always a pit between where we are and where we need to be?!" I exclaimed.
"I don't know, but I don't think we can levitate each other across," the otter replied. How does he remain so calm?
Looking around, I noticed the remnants of a brigde: wooden posts driven into the ground and a frayed rope spanning the gap. I was forming an idea, and I didn't like it.
"Kyle, what potions do you have?"
      "Huh?"
"Potion inventory, what do you still have?"
"Oh, let's see... I have a purple potio-"
      "Use it on me."
Kyle raised an eyebrow. "What? But you-"
"No time to explain, just hit me with it before I change my mind!"
      "O-okay."
I closed my eyes as the glass shattered on me. The potion was horribly cold as it seeped beyond my fur and into me.
The transformation was nearly instantaneous. My hair grew down to the small of my back, I felt my hips widen and my chest surge out into a pair of breasts. I went from Ty to Terra, just like that.
I ran to the wooden posts and set my hands (paws? I get confused in this world way too often) on them, feeling my magic surge through my arms and into the posts and the rope, which was, fortunately, made of organic fibers.
I willed new life into them, making the posts grow deep into the ground and out of the cliff, starting to span across the abyss. The frayed rope grew branches, reinforcing the forming bridge and providing support from below.
After about a minute, with the blaster-toting Troopers still far behind, I had formed a living bridge out of some rope and wood.
      "When did you..."
"I experimented after Kieli forced me to be a girl the first time. Now let's get going."
      "O-okay," said the surprised otter

Role Play Theater / Cosmic's (Possibly) new form
« on: November 15, 2018, 06:37:38 PM »
I recently drew a picture of a toonified version of Ty and now I don't know whether or not it should be one of his main forms so that he can just become it at will.

Help.

Random Topics / About Cosmic
« on: October 23, 2018, 09:10:30 PM »
Cosmic is the character that represents me in all of my stories. I see him as one in myself, but a seperate being as well. Like a split personality.
Cosmic is not human. Let me just get that out of the way first. Sure, his main, preferred form may look it, but just look closely at his character and you'll see why.
Cosmic goes through what I refer to as "universal instability." This basically just means that his form changes based on the world. For instance, if Cosmic travelled to Virmir-World, he'd change into his Ty form, which is a magical anthro tiger.
Another thing is that he travels through worlds, which I probably should've explained first. He has no clue how he does so, just that it's through the crystal that he has.
The crystal has strange powers over time and space (SHUT UP, IT'S NOT AN INFINITY STONE!) and is the key to his sword's full power. The sword and gemstone do, in fact, change with his form, which is why Ty will never be seen with the sword and he'll never have either in his dragon  form. As Ty, the sword becomes a gauntlet that harnesses power from him and the gem (NOT THE INFINITY GAUNTLET, IT DOESN'T COVER HIS FINGERS!). The dragon form, they become part of him.
Galactic is probably tre most complex form of his, as it's an energy that is basically the same thing as his raw power. Because he's more of a fluid in this form, he can reshape it to whatever he desires. Also, the sword and gem are part of his energy in this form. I consider it to be his most powerful form simply because that's what it is - his own power.

Random Insanity / Accents.
« on: October 14, 2018, 09:36:17 PM »
In chat, I always picture certain people with weird accents, and I just wanted to start a topic where you post the accent you always thought the above person had or imagined them having. Ill start this off with a perfect example: I always think of Virmir as having a British accent for some reason. Don't  know why, but the phrases he uses just make me think,"Yup. Definitely British."

Art Gallery / Halloween gift for Virmir!
« on: October 13, 2018, 10:59:04 AM »
So yesterday, KieliIndustries, KyleTheRed, and I had the brilliant idea of doing a sot of mega picture for Virmir since he's doing all these sketch requests. I decided to take it and basically turn this into a mega collaboration as a gift for our favorite Firefox.

If you want to participate, draw something that you think Virmir would like to see that shows your appreciation for the free Halloween sketches and post them here. This could be a character doing something or just whatever you want to make Vir happy! And please, don't repeat something the last person posted unless we just want  an army of Virmir in different drawing styles XD

When there are enough (maybe ten or twenty drawings), I'll take them and edit them all together to make the mega picture as the final gift!

Art Gallery / Chaos battle group sketch
« on: October 08, 2018, 02:57:55 PM »
I like making stories. As I have mentioned before, Cosmic travels between worlds, making new friends along the way. This art will show that, but I don't have enough characters. That's where you  guys come in! If you want to be in this scene, leave a reference, please. Also, make sure I know about the character's abilities and/or weapons, as this is for a sort of fight scene. There six open spots, so ya may want to hurry if you want to be included!
[Edit: ignore the title, not good with names]

Writer's Guild / Comic's strange adventure
« on: September 06, 2018, 11:38:07 PM »
Once again, I found myself falling from the sky. Common occurrence to me by now, seeing as I've done it about a million times. The bad thing is turning around so I don't break my neck. Fortunately, I've got it down to a system.
When I saw where I was about to crash into the ground, though, I realized that this was going to be a very... different adventure. As in, there were trees. Trees as far as the eye could see, and that's never happened to me before. I've grown accustomed to landing in these green fields, I had no idea how to prepare for trees in my way.
Let me spare you the details and just say that it... wasn't pretty. Scratched all over, I checked my surroundings and found myself in a vast wooded area, with these humongous deciduous trees all over. I tried to look through the canopy, but could only see ruffling leaves.
Wait. Movement meant someone was there. It something. I've seen a giant man eating squirrel before, and it was not something I'd ever want to see again.
Suddenly, something fell down to the ground, ten times more gracefully than my landing. It was behind a tree, of course. Did I mention the insane amount of them?
Naturally, I called out to it, "Hey there, you uh, you need something?"white
"Blasted rude, that is, destroying the branch I was about to jump onto." The creature replied.
The thing walked out from behind the tree, but I didn't notice at first. Mostly because I was expecting it to be taller. When I did look down, I was extremely confused.
"Then again, you're not a Reyn, are you? What are you, some experimental spell gone wrong?"
It was a small, gray Fox creature standing on two legs. It was about half my height, with large eyes, yet small irises and pupils. It had a cape on its back, and that was it for clothing. And it talked, and said I'm not a reyn, whatever that is.
"Umm.. name's Cosmic. I am not an experiment, but I am definitely not something you've ever seen before. I don't know what a reyn is, but by the sounds of it, I'm guessing you're one? Oh, and uh, sorry for 'dropping' in."
Probably shouldn't have made the pun.
"So, what are you, then? I've never seen anything quite like you, so are you even natural?"
" first off, I introduced myself and you never introduced yourself, and you called me out over something I had no control over. Second, I'm someone with the ability to travel between universes and dimensions, as well as wield the most powerful weapon in said worlds. (Naturally, my sword shot down into the ground right next to me, it always has a weird delay like that.) FInally, I have good reason to ask who you are, as you are like an alien to me."
Guess I got the point across, as the little Fox man's eyebrows raised slightly. Well, his eyes did. I couldn't tell if he had eyebrows.
"And I am a level four mage. Do you really think I'm intimidated by some talk?"
At this, I raised my left hand, and a brilliant blue and gold beacon shot into the sky, incinerating any branches above us in a perfect circle.
"Believe me now, Mr mage?" I asked, grinning.
"Blast. Those trees are ancient, and awarded against fire. How did you do that?" The Fox looked interested now. Finally.
      "First off, what's your name?"
"Virmir, mage of Caerreyn, level four."
"Nice to meet you. Say, have you seen a small object fall from the sky lately?"
"No, not recently, which probably isn't a bad thing."
Well, shoot. Guess I'll just have to wing it. But maybe...
"You want to come look for an infinite source of every power imaginable and defeat some sort of evil thing?" I asked Virmir.
      "What do I get?"
Let me say that I was not amused.
"How about not getting blown to smithereens or chopped up into little pieces?"
"What about gold? Otherwise, I'd either leave it turn you into possibly another fox, or something other than what you are?"
So, he's this kind of guy. Huh.
"Try me," I said. And he did.
He ran behind me and pointed some pole at me. Probably a wand, since he said he was a mage. And... Nothing.
"What, is this thing out of batteries or something?" (No, that is not the weirdest thing I had ever heard.)
Not sure if it was just me, but I thought I saw the word "Immune" flash before my eyes, like some sort of video game.
"Blast! How are you not affected? Everyone is!" Guess whatever he tried to do didn't work.
"NOW will you come? I really will need help, if I know what to expect." I've been through similar processes before in other worlds.
"Alright, but promise that I'll get something out of it," the Fox muttered.
"Okay, okay, I'll give you some gold when we're done," I agreed.
I grabbed my sword, and, as we set of, a silly thought bloomed in my head. Smilling, I put my sword in my left hand and reached up towards Virmir's head. "Don't. Even. Think about it." He muttered.
      " Shoot," I muttered[/pre].

Updates will be coming soon!
