My idea is that he's found a staff like the one that goes with this costume:

I was imagining him standing there examining the staff that is part of the costume as if he has just found it as a treasure somewhere.

He seems to be unaware that it is taking him over, slowly but surely shifting him into a jackal against his will. Horizontally down the middle of his body, one half still rat, other half jackal.

Not sure if he should be entirely in the egyptian costume already. Or half rat outfit, half costume. I think that would be best left up to you Virmir.

Hope this idea is ok.
