Suzocon is an old enough trickster to know better than to lie for no reason. Nearly every single thing he actually says is clearly true; what little trickery he pulls is managed by telling the truth, albeit in a carefully-chosen order. His remarks about the eye being a fake were immediately after getting a close look at it, almost more to himself than his "audience", and it was in a context when he had no reason to lie, so it's probably quite reliable information. He knew it was made by compressing that type of crystal before his guests revealed that said resource was being mined in great quantities.

The artwork looks pretty "Cartoon fainted/knocked out" to me here. Although, the earlier page where one of the "children" got literally cut in half...

P.S. Whatever the writing process is, the results are hilarious so far.

Fighting type doesn't resist normal. Maybe pichu's move just has more power than tackle. Or it could be a physical-versus-special defense thing. You know, damage categories...
