I dunno, I just feel like if there's anything our heroes should've learned from the journey so far, it's that convincing their extremely powerful foes to fight each other usually results in at least one of them dying (both if you're lucky), plus an opportunity to escape.

This situation could be convenient if used properly. "Hey that orb thing you wanted got stolen along with our friend. That big dragon over there in the volcano has it..."

Remember how the X/Y legendaries are revered as gods, and how their powers have something to do with sucking out life force? Adding that to "containment" implies some kind of "sealed disaster in a can" situation.

The main context is virmir world. The short answer is that Virmir definitely is that full of himself, but wizards in that world do also seem to occupy a very privileged position in society. Mostly because people fear a powerful wizard.

I got curious about this and looked it up. It seems like the most reasonable interpretation of the "height" is that it's the full distance from top-of-head to back-of-tail, which results in a fairly tall creature, but not a "size of an adult human when standing upright" size creature.

I'm still happy to see this series embrace the silliness of taking that height literally, though.

I can't help but feel like the great wizard Virmir would be happy to have a giant version of his visage erected in his honor somewhere...his actual visage, though, rather than that of a transformed form.

What I want to know is, why did this Rattata think that a (circle-drawing) compass would help with taxes?

..Or possibly, which part of Poke-taxes require accurately drawing a circle?!

I'm just remembering Kecleon in the PMD Terminalmontage video, chasing the heroes down for stealing an apple...

Be weary of sky meat.
Be tired?
Yes...my pedantry reflex tripped on this too. Might be that's intended, or might be it's supposed to be "wary".

...Especially if your name is Casti.

(no one's gonna get this reference...)

I think that was more in the sense of "don't encourage me like you're the mature one here"...or something.

Compare some earlier page where Axew/Zinc had a panel of being depressed, etc.

I can't help but think Virmir would be a little bit proud of how Vulpix is specifically imagining skeletonizing her enemies in a fire.

That expression in the last panel doesn't look anything like "about to explode" to me. More like "siiiiigh".

Man, Absol's design as a creature clearly isn't intended to lean toward "cute", but the art these past several pages really sells "cute absol".
