I'm not so sure about all that. After all, the medical symbol is a winged serpent coiled around a staff, so I'm thinking something more along the lines of making his men invincible or something.

Or it's a rod of Cure Minor Wounds.  {;)  Would be awfully disappointing though if he goes out to confront the armies of Caerreyn with that, and the first thing it does is heal someone's sprained ankle. :P
