Going to try something new for coming up with ideas this time instead of just asking people. Instead, people can suggest the title, and then I'll try and come up with a story to go along with it.

Randomly came up with a sort of "story seed" for Beneath the Steel Stars. Anyone can use it if they like, it feels kind of cliche though.
"Long ago, before history, a mighty race walked the Earth. They were the first, the old ones. They had minds that thought, as ours do, they had hands that worked, mouths that spoke, and eyes that read. They lived throughout the whole earth, from the high mountains to the wasteland. They carved great lines across the earth, and built mighty towers higher than can be imagined. They built flying machines, they fashioned stars from steel and placed them in the heavens. Then one day, they took us in as their children. They gave us their minds, their hands, their eyes, and their speech. And then, they left. Some say they are dead, others that they have ascended. Some even say that they remain among the stars, fighting to protect us from dark forces. The most ancient records show that they have promised to return, so we remain, and we wait, beneath the steel stars."
Could use some editing, it was kind of thrown together late at night. {:P
Also, title ideas:
Lines in the Sand
Glass Towers
The City in the Mountain
The Fortress Without Walls
The Home of Steel Stars
Beyond the Steel Stars
