Title: Lego Stuff Inspired by Railfox!
Post by: KieliIndustries on November 09, 2018, 06:47:28 PM
Railfox and I talked earlier  about what a Lego Crimson Flag/Virmir-World project would look like if it ever happened! While he was designing actual professional-looking figure concepts, I was trying to see what works with the pieces that currently exist. These are obviously not accurate and the heads are just placeholders (Lego fox heads are few and far between), but hey, at least I tried! If there's any credit to be given here, everyone just credit Railfox! I was merely experimenting.

They look good but they sell 3d wolf/fox/tiger heads for minifigures

Thanks Virmir, glad you like them! I prefer my Brickheadz topic ( http://crimsonflagcomic.com/forum/index.php?topic=2600.0 ) more myself as I can actually give the characters faces, but these were a fun challenge to design too!  [:)

Yeah, I've seen those, I believe the series was called Chima? Sadly I don't have any of those pieces and they're not accurate enough for my taste! But Railfox has shown interest in trying to design his own sometime, so that should be interesting!

Solution: order blank ones of the color you want, then use paint pens for the details. Boom, problem solved. Also, the minifigs are awesome!

Kinda on the right track.  However, I am planning to do custom molding by polymer clay, put it over a existing LEGO piece, boil it to harden the clay, then finally put two coats of gloss paint and use a paint pen to add finishing touches.
