Title: Thread of the Awesome Musics
Post by: AlexShrub on February 02, 2010, 08:47:53 AM
I have started this thread so that people may share music by linking/giving  information for their favorite songs.

For Example, If you have a music site (such as http://listen.grooveshark.com/ ) then you my link your favorites or similar page as the site allows.

Or, you may list the title and author/band that the songs are made by.

To start off the list: Here is my Grooveshark favorites page:
Mein Favorites (http://listen.grooveshark.com/#/user/alexshrub/1851380/favorites)

As well as these, I enjoy Rush, Guns n' Roses, Duran Duran, and Queen.

Three words: Act.  On.  Instinct. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9RJQPlPE2yQ)

Beethoven's 9th (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSEqQsAXbJw) is pretty awesome too pure win. (warning: the second one is LONG.  It also has a part 1, but the ending is the best part.)

Some people really liked the music from http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1870258/

The song is titled "Reason" and came from Gundam SEED Destiny. I first heard it from On Demand on Digital Cable and found it catchy. There is a non lyrical version which I used in the flash vid.

When I first imagined "A Fox in Time" starring our little gray fox Greg, I wanted a wide variety of music genres and to not allow the music to be a simple backdrop but an amplifier for emotion. I did not name the second world song cause frankly world #2 is too much like Okami. Needs to be modified.

First World - Boss Music
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxEQHUnv2aI
Think a priest goes dark side and mutates into a 10 feet tall being of... well I can't really describe it. Bad news for Greg.

Third World - The Desert Walker
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKA11e33F2M&feature=related
Think a giant steam run spider robot thing bursting from the ground, knocking Greg off his feet and tries to crush him with giant feet and spinning blades.

Final World - Server Cluster 1103
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8O7_x64cIg0
Imagine being surrounded by countless machines and blinking electronics. And the whole facility syncs to the music. Every beat is followed by a beep, every sound has a relation in the place. The whole facility is like a concert basically.

Some stuff from the Ace Combat series:

The Unsung War (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGX6vGL0GBI)
Zero (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5oSTFlg4s0)
Liberation of Gracemaria (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HGQS5XSoJ4)
Agnus Dei (Megalith) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZ6ABV_Q9qU)
Not to be confused with the older Agnus Dei (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3w-Xn-KY10), or Mozart's composition (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKW9o_5jw6U) by the same name, both of which are also good.

8-bit gameboy-sounding music.

"Happy Ending After All" is a fun one.

To take a level from the absurd...

http://www.jamendo.com/en/artist/dougtheeagle (http://www.jamendo.com/en/artist/dougtheeagle)

Ever wanted to hear progressive ballads about Foxfire Chronicles? The opening song from "Pancake Ferret", "Operation Wendigo", is just that. It's a bit unnerving. Then again, his whole style is unnerving. Worth a listen. ]:O

I know Tapewolf's music since long. It's good, if you like the style, I recommend it. Actually, Pancake Ferret is his worst (still good, mind) album of them all - I think I like the first one A Day In The People Factory, and Three Little Pigs the best.

+1
