I don't know if someone saw this before. It's been on the Earth Eternal twitter for about a month now. I only saw it today...
Anyway, for those who also didn't know yet. Earth Eternal is now being handled by a japanese game company called Sankando. It's now called "Ikimonogatari".
From what I've seen, so far, they've only been changing the character designs to japanese-style anthros(kemonos). See it for yourself:

I'll miss the old designs...but these also look interesting.
Also, on the EE twitter: "Ikimonogatari will be released in Japanese. Were looking at options for release in other territories as well"

Yea, its been brought up here and there, and the Eternal Earth Forever forum has translated readings of the blog. In the end, if it comes back to the US cool. If not, Meh.

You may be able to register and play on the Japanese server. Would be interesting to stumble around in, unable to read anything. I'll surely give it a try. [;) Having played the game before, I don't think it'll be all that impossible. (I never read what the people said when handing out quests anyway, he he he.)
New fox heads are kinda weird. But then again, the old models were kinda weird too, so I'm not terribly upset.
