Clarifications on "Adult" Content

There has been some confusion as to what is appropriate in this environment.  Basically what I mean by "adult content" is sexual themes and nudity.  If the comic, story, picture, etc. you want to link to depicts sex or is about sex, please do not post it. This spans from two people in bed where it is implied something is going on (despite nothing being "shown"), to nature shots of two animals mating.  Let's just avoid that altogether.

I'm not saying it's a total taboo subject.  You can say the word "sex" and no one is going to freak out, and you can mention the mating cycles of the African Rhinoceros or whatever. Obviously your story about two lovers getting married and having kids is a-okay, assuming you leave out the detailed bedroom scene.  Just don't go into too much detail. The "point" of what you're trying to talk about or what you are linking to shouldn't be sex, is what I'm getting at.

As far as nudity goes, imagine yourself in a public area such as a restaurant or school.  Would what you're posting be appropriate there?  Think of CF like a very visible public area.  So no pictures of exposed parts, including bare rear-ends.

Bathing suits are fine. Beaches are public, after all.

Underwear makes me a little uncomfortable, because people who draw people in underwear have other things on their mind, I think.  It's fine only if it's not implying anything sexual.

As a side note, no, I do not consider proper pantsless "toons" to be nude at all. [;)

Violence

I'm actually not very strict about violence.  Just keep away from extreme, detailed gore and you should be fine.  I'm talking about entrails and graphic descriptions of disembowelment, etc.

I am personally a little hemophobic, meaning blood grosses me out big-time. So I do ask you warn me before posting something with blood in it.  But it's okay for the chat environment.

Stories or pictures involving death as a subject matter are fine as well.  Unless it's really gruesome corpses or something. It's just mainly extreme gore we want to avoid.

Apologies for the vagueness of the rules.  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.  I'll be happy to write more amendments or clarifications.  If you're not sure about a particular link, just ask me or a mod. You will never, *ever* get in trouble for asking first.

Thanks, much. [:)
