Seems reasonable.

Got to wonder considering how no one kicked the bucket. if our ehh overly angry adversary hear is still alive. As if you can get sliced in half and still function. Would magical fire be enough to put you in the ground?

I mean, the grading rubric was very clearly laid out at the beginning of the assignment...

Ya but grades don't really explain if you can kick the bucket or not. Granted in pokemon you can't really..but ehh who knows... depends how Family friendly this is going to be.

Oh, sorry; I was commenting on the comic, not replying to you.

It looks to me like this setting is interpreting the fact that pokemon can generally be revived with the right item into this being a "death is cheap" setting. You know: People die all the time, but they get better all the time too. The actual pokemon settings seem to make a distinction between "death" and "fainting", but (seemingly) not here.
