Saida would never think of using such a threatening tactic, at least not with her experience to this point, she's too nice for that.

I actually think Brand is playing this smarter than people give him credit for. The slAves expect Saida to be a tyrant, so he is giving them just what they expect. If he is actually trying to help maybe ask the village elder about the Dark Aves, why they are stealing eggs and what relation they have to the quetz? Gather a little intelligence before you stomp through the china shop.

To be honest i am not actual sure if the birds view the queltz as tyrants. Like the ones on the floating island. Seem to be more then willing to interact with the queltz. Who Also do the same jobs as the Birds. As you see both Queltz and Aves working jobs like guards and servants. So clearly the younger queltz are on par with the aves when it comes to it. Kinda makes me wonder what the lifespan of these birds are. For all we know they only lives like 10 years. Aka why they would Need a constant supply of birds. as i am sure queltz live for a few thousand years..
Regardless it seems like the only one the birds fear is the thunder bro. I am not sure if any of the birds Fear Sadia.
