To be fair it worked out well the first time. Until you know Roko got greedy when he saw another tail. And you know started this entire mess.

But. He's been really trying to make it up to the two of them of late. And nearly made the ultimate sacrifice trying to protect them from the insane Sephiroth-level Monster Fox. He started out yako, but he's pretty thoroughly in the zenko camp now.

Ehh, no offense. but i think Sadia brother did more to distract the fox then any of the main cast. Mind you i don't really blame them for not wanting to fight the 8 tailed rat. But i would argue the main cast in over their head. And no one is really able to do anything about anything. As they are stuck in between a battle between two demigods. Roko is doing the right thing thou. They need the orb to get their old bodies back. And lets be honest, I don't think anyone hear is rooting for the rat or Sadia brother to get the orb.

You have it exactly right. Suzokon-kyo, being a yao no kitsune (8 tail) was a demigod and Taran-ouji is close to being a full fledged deity. The Africans have a proverb: When elephants fight it is the grass that gets trampled. Saida wisely stayed the hell out of the fight. Brand got caught in the middle and he's down. GETTING OFF THAT ISLAND is paramount and has been for 200 pages.

But so is getting the Eyestone. If Vetra-jou gets it back that's bad but they hold serve. If Suzocon-sama gets it... it has his 9th tail. That's a potentially world ending event right there. If Taran didn't already collect it, getting it off that island is JUST as important for the entire world as it is for Brand and Saida.

To be honest, i am not actual sure Suzokon, could actual become the god of life. When he is actual Really bad at it. That and you think such a Common aspect of existance would already have a god. Hell death has a deity, why wouldn't life already have one?

That and in all honesty He dose not really understand the mechanics of how souls are created. Hell we do not understand, but it has never actual been established who, or what creates souls in this universe. Regardless the 8 tailed rat Clearly dose not know. Which makes him even more a of a dick when you factor in the fact that he Tried to erase Roko form existance. Because somehow this was going to do, well something, something, Profit.

anyway hopefully they can actually escape. And at long last Get their bodies back. Also maybe we can learn who the Real god of life is.
