The rules, complete with example images, can be seen here: CLICK (http://www.nestorgames.com/rulebooks/UNITY_EN.pdf).
In summary, your goal is to unite your pieces into a single group (including a "group" of one piece). Each turn, you may take one of three actions:
* Move a piece any number of spaces in any direction (you can move other other pieces of any color, but not over walls)
* Detonate a piece (a circle removes itself and all of its neighbors, and an asterisk removes itself and all pieces in any direction you choose; a wall blocks either kind of detonation)
* Add two walls anywhere to the board
The first player to have all of his pieces in a single group wins.
The colors will move in the following order: purple, orange, green. After three players have joined, I will randomly determine which of my opponents chooses a color first, and which one chooses a color second. Then we'll take turns doing stuff until the game is over. ]:)
-
I'll sign on as second player, though this looks like it could quickly get too complicated for a poor, simple otter. |;)
-
Looks for too complex for me right now.
-
Ill play
-
Kenku has randomly been chosen to pick a color first. Selden will select one of the remaining two colors.
-
I pick green.
-
I guess I'll go with purple. It seems to have more options open to it.
-
Getting rid of an outlier.
-
The orange star in the bottom left explodes to the right.
-
A green Astrick blasts downward
-
The purple Death Star.... err, asterisk, cuts the long green line. And a bunch else.
-
I take an orange asterisk and move it northwest to join some groups together.
-
Green Circle shuffled NW
-
I wanted to break the green mass up a little more.
-
An orange ring explodes near the center.
-
A green Astrick obliterates the middle of the board
-
I'll just move a purple circle to a better position this time.
-
You can't move a piece due south, Selden. You can move it in these six directions: east, west, northeast (well, approximately; it's actually 30 degrees from due north), northwest (approximately), southeast (approximately), and southwest (approximately).
-
Oops. Sorry about that.
-
There, that should work. Purple asterisk moved along the line down and right.
-
Boom! An orange ring explodes up north!
-
For the Greater good, a green astrick sacrifices himself and a ally to remove a major detanator.
-
Eventually decided to just move.
-
An orange asterisk sacrifices itself and an orange ring.
-
The Green Circle sacrifices itself to protect the flock!
-
A purple asterisk darts across the board, possibly nervous of all the orange in its former corner!
-
I don't think we have enough walls yet!
-
Perhaps not, but I believe its better for me cut in [:)
-
A purple asterisk commits fratricide.
-
Orange circle makes a jump!
-
I do believe we need more walls!
-
Another purple asterisk commits fratricide, this time taking an orange circle too.
-
My topmost orange star aims to the east, taking out itself and nothing else.
-
MAOR WALLS!
-
I suppose I could have added more walls...
-
Orange fratricide in row 3! Star aims east!
-
A Green Star cause Fratricide, leaving the circle alone...
-
A purple circle shifts slightly.
-
The topmost orange star has left the building!
-
A green Astrick sweeps its circular Brethren off the board.
-
Rolling, rolling, rolling...
-
I detonate my only ring, leaving Kenku to make an excruciatingly painful decision.
-
Im...meh...as noted I will call it here. I really don't feel like being Kingmaker. Decide amongst yourself as you wish, but yea.
-
I would prefer to fight Selden in a two-player match to determine who's the ultimate winner, but he seemed to express interest in resigning. I hope he can be persuaded to lose to me fair and square. . . :3
-
*puts a little paper crown on Grant*
-
*wears it*
Okay, okay. I'll accept this win. :3 Thanks for playing, guys. If anybody at all wants to play a two-player game against me, I'll set up a new board, but for now, let's bask in this game's glorious being-over-ness.
-
I'll play.
-
All right, here's the board. Select yourself a color when you're ready.
-
I pick Orange.
-
I choose green. Ergo, you go first, Sphen.
-
I detonate a star north-west.
-
A green star moves northeast.
-
I blow up another asterisk.
-
Getting rid of asterisks seems to be trendy.
-
A circle detonates.
-
I detonate my bottommost star northwest.
-
.
-
I add a wall.
-
I move a circle.
-
Perhaps that wall could have been better placed. Live and learn.
Detonating an asterisk.
-
I blow up a circle.
-
I have chosen to detonate a star to the left.
-
.
-
Bottommost asterisk commits fratricide.
-
A circle explodes.
-
I don't think I can win this one. So instead, I'll just resign right now, and add three random walls to the next game (as though I decided to stop playing seriously and just add random walls during my three turns).
-
We're playing with 28 walls now. Getting intense.
I'm going to pick orange. I think it's only fair that we alternate who gets to pick a color first. :P
Edit: if Spheniscine doesn't respond within 72 hours of the time this was initially posted, this becomes an open challenge to anybody!
