I am leaning towards the schizo-tech-mecha theme, and I will most likely make multiple factions, each with their own "level" of technology, one could say. (IE, Steampunk-ish, cyberpunk-ish, modern-ish, etc.) For what it looks like geographically, I am still unsure. Mostly will depend on other decisions that will be made at a later date.

Different levels of tech sounds like a formally divided world, like groups of small continents or lands divided by mountains or chasms.
