They keep turning me into a statue for some reason.

I can't help but feel like the great wizard Virmir would be happy to have a giant version of his visage erected in his honor somewhere...his actual visage, though, rather than that of a transformed form.

So... this is unexpected for all of you but last art I mentioned that Cody now has a new water-pressure-protective ability in his aquatic form and I also mentioned making a new reference sheet for it so here it is! ^^'

Naturally, I can't explain much about this new ability here in the description, so I'll let the reference sheet speak for itself. But one detail I forgot to mention in the ref is that his body is very noodle-like while in this form so yes you can tie his limbs in a knot or use him as a slingshot.

Anyway, what do you guys think? Should I make more art of him as this?

Forgot to upload these two:

WARNING: Once you see this it is already too late, it's all it is.

"BLUB?!"

Well, new year new me I guess. This peculiar drawing is to demostrate a new ability for Cody's aquatic form. Whenever he dives down into deeper territories (like the Mariana's Trench for example) his body begins to compress itself to the point he literally turns into a stick figure, acting as some sort of weird protection mechanism to defend against extreme water pressure.

On top of that, his magic moon necklace turns into a collar around his neck gills so that it doesn't drift away during compression.

Don't worry, he can still be able to swim albeit more faster and wiggly sort of like an octopus or rapid fish depending on his speed like some new underwater cryptid of sorts. I decided to call this ability "Depth Crack-Up" or something like that.

The picture depicts his first time finding out about this weird ability, he turned so thin the remainer of his outfit flew out of him (luckily he manages to get them back)! So the first time he's in somewhere super deep he makes sure to wear his skintight wetsuit/springsuit instead since its neoprene is very well-adjusted even if compressed.

Also, you can obviously tell that this ability was inspired by a certain underwater scene from Ice Age 4. If you haven't seen the movie I recommend checking it out and see the scene referenced in the picture for yourself, it's so weird that I stopped watching the movie series altogether right after as a child but it definitely left a curious impression on me.

Oddly this whole arc proves me wrong yet again on a major point, which Virmir indirectly confirmed.

I figured that Suzocon-kyo, being a powerful kitsune with full command of kitsunebi, would be the fire kami in this world's pantheon. I was wrong. He was an add-in.

This ancient volcano dragon is probably the fire kami. And pulling a Lord of the Rings on that fake eyestone may have... A lot of undesired effects beyond just killing Roko.

He doesn't even need to have been corrupted by the Puppetmancer. From what Brand has said, mature volcano dragons are corrupt by their very nature and do not care about anyone else's problems.

So what is the Puppetmancer's angle in this? It's obviously the ancient kitsune (?) is still plotting and planning, even as a Voldemort-style mana entity.

To quote Alice: "Curiouser and curiouser."

an attempt at making zinque dress more casually, wonder if it wouldn't be useful to be able to disguise themselves as such to blend in the background for a ninja  ???
