Art Gallery / [Comic] "NotePad Chronicles"
« on: June 18, 2012, 07:40:03 PM »
Just something I'm drawing; not only for the sake of drawing anything at all, but also to harden my feeble mind. I kinda wanna give this an overall dark and unsettling feel. Things like torture, soul-erasing, and so on. Such as how that one chick was horribly and painfully transfigured into a tree in "Abysses", or like how MK Virmir had his blood drained in "To Steal a Fox". That was some really effck'd-up shit. I gotta learn how not to be sickened and disturbed by that kinda stuff.

EDiT:- Updated with some slight revisions. Went back and condensed the chapter summaries whose full versions woulda been too short.

Quote from: Risu's brain
Ch.1 - A Traitor Appears. (AKA "Arms Race, pt.1")

Mekuta, Parrow's childhood rival, comes to Orion City to exact revenge against him. He accuses Parrow of seriously hurting his younger sister, Ayeme. As a result, Ayeme had to undergo several expensive and unsuccessful surgical operations, which eventually led to her death.

Parrow nonetheless denies ever committing any such crimes. Outraged, Mekuta proceeds to kidnap and detain him until he admits these allegations to be true. But if he fails to confess after a certain number of chances....

Meanwhile, Rupert - who until now had not been very close with Parrow - decides to rescue his roommate. First however, he needs to gather enough counter-evidence to prove Parrow's innocence. But he's on a significant time limit. Luckily, his hasty research yeilds some fruit.

Rupert suspects that the deed was done by a notorious shapeshifter, known simply as "_____". He thinks this becos' a simular incident occurred back when he was in middle school. Once he has the evidence printed out, he tracks the signal broadcasted from Parrow's Wristpad. But he is stunned to find out that Jasper, Rupert's girlfriend, is working with Mekuta!

Parrow still does not budge. Despite the incredible pain, he stays with his position. Disappointed, Mekuta starts up the torture device designed to inject liquid-hot metal into one's bone tissue. He chose this method in order to "immortalise their hatred" from one another. Then he shows off his arm branded with the emblem of Lazarus City.

(Orion City used to boycott Lazarus City for inventing propetual energy before they did. But the demand for electric power in Orion City continued to increase, as more and more refugees from Earth kept arriving in droves onto Escape. As a result, Orion City nearly went bust, while Lazarus City prospered. Eventually, Orion City reluctantly agreed to spend its last reserves of money to build a EM power plant. The infrastructural delapidation and extremely poor quality of living caused by this feud is still blatantly evident all thruout the lowest tiers of Orion City, now known as the Scum Dwellings.)

Rupert attempts to call Jasper using the Wristpad integrated into his biomechanical left arm. Much to his relief, she picks up. He then goes on to explain his findings, and forwards her a copy of the evidence, urging her to inform Mekuta right away. As she does so, she can hear dreadful screams of agony coming from the basement....

Writer's Guild / Magic Duels

Copypasta'd from my dA Journal....

Okay, so now. I most likely dropped my "Furry Trade School" entry; at least for now. Instead, I'm revisiting my childhood ideas of toony, sci-fi, fantasy & adventure stuff. That, and I'm throwing in YGO & MTG (mostly YGO,) in the sense that I'm structuring the story around a game.

Magic Duels are fought with real mythical creatures and magic spells, not paper cards and holograms. Of course, to minimise the damage, suppression field emitters are placed all around the city. Contenders start with 20 LP, and damage is calcuated based on the severity of each attack.

And as always, I'll use my characters.... No, not Pocky, Nugget, & Baxter. Im'ma give them a break. This time, it's starring Parrow, Louise, Jasper, and some old past characters that none of you know of. Vash, Dex, Cassie, Napalm, Techno, and Lefty & Righty. Also, new villains.... Johan [link], Mr. Neilstein and his magic rock, and a group that calls themselves The Rings of Saturn....

More info to come!

...And of course, I'd like some feedback - Other than remarks such as, "Oh, what a stupid idea; no one likes furries playing Yugioh," or anything. If you hafta go and tell me how much the idea sucks, please justify it with a few more sentences. If I hafta have my recent good mood streak shattered, I'd rather it be by someone's well-thought-out response, than by a lame one-liner. Of course, I'd rather keep it up than have it shattered to begin with tho', obvz.

...Cos' it's why I make impulsive remarks.

Anyhow, I finally realised something. Something that impacts everyone that knows me.... Tuns out, I annoy people.

Of course, I certainly don't mean to tho'. But it sure took me long enough to put 1 and 1 together and figure this out.

This is exactly what got me kicked out of more than one of my favourite places. This is exactly what got me banned from so many online communities. This is exactly why my mom virtually disowned me. This is exactly why I have no social life.

Simply cos' I tend to make myself look like a tard in public. I can understand it now. Everyone is tired of my crap.

Altho' it's far too late for me to start changing now; I certainly can't regain any of what I lost. Altho' I can try and change for the sake of not losing anymore of what I have left. But I doubt it....

Chapter 0 - Prelude?

There's a city about 30 miles south of Truesdale. Well rather, there 'was' a city at one time. Now all that remains is an empty ghost shell. Nothing has lived there since the End of the World nearly thirty years ago.

It's a bleak and desolate scene; quite depressing if you ask me. The clouds droop ominously low, sealing out the sun. The crumbled building remains are dilapidated, and the old subway system is half flooded with sludge. Cables hang from and across wrecked skyscraper skeletons, bereft of windowpanes. Highways that at one point connected the city's once robust neighbourhoods have been torn apart, and in one location an eerie congregation of empty charred car chassis are lined up to the edge of a gaping crater five miles wide. At its epicenter was once a toxic waste conversion factory.

This factory existed before the discovery of instant plants. Then again, it existed even before furries did, too. It was primarily used to transfigure otherwise unusable substances - such as nuclear waste, nerve gas, etc. - into harmless, beneficial products intended for consumption. Some examples of transfigured products were extra-creamy peanut butter, non-melting ice cream, and toothpaste that would mend broken and crooked teeth. But it was also the top secret research facility of the Orion Group.

One day, a group of scientists working there decided to play God. Their names:- Ivan Stormblind, Vio Vendia, and Orion chief executive Willard Defacto. These mad scientists wanted to try and create a new kind of lifeform; one that could walk, talk, and think like a human, but wasn't. They wanted it not to be mechanical, but biological. They wanted their creation to have a soul. The operation was codenaned "Darwin's Nightmare." And it worked. These three humans obtained godlike power as a result of creating life.

Humans are evil, filthy, wicked creatures. They have always been easily corrupted by power, ever since the Original Sin. All throughout the ages, humans have proven unto God that they are downright unworthy. Even God's Son would not save them from certain damnation. So God went and created a new race to populate the world - Furries. This time, He almost got it right. Almost.

I think I'm getting somewhere with this....! I have plans for the "Darwin's Nightmare" critter too. I just hope this doesn't end up like Sonic the Failhog. <<;;,
