Title: What are you playing?
Post by: Virmir on September 08, 2010, 01:47:36 PM
I usually play one console game for a month or two, beat it, then move on to another.  Also I'll usually have another PC game on the side I'll poke at. How about you? Let's hear it!

Currently playing:

Zelda 2 (NES)

Also on the side:

Minecraft
Earth Eternal (Or at least, hoping it comes back soon!)

Post what you're playing!  And come back and post again when you play something new. [;)

Currently Playing:  Way of the Samurai 3 (Xbox 360)

Weird game, but you keep your loot whenever you die/beat the game, so it's fun to kick around for a bit.

On the Side:  Shadow Wolf Debugging, and whatever random game my brother has this week.

Not much gaming at all... but when I actually am in mood for a game, I just look at my steam library (http://steamcommunity.com/id/tvorsk/games?tab=all) and launch something. Most recently, "something" tends to be Sword of the Stars, in which I still suck. {;)
Outside of Steam, I also have installed and thus on the "hmm, what to play" list: Freespace SCP, Space Rangers 2, and... System Shock 1 in DOSbox.
There's actually a few games I have and never played yet, but I never feel up to installing one. {;)/me hides before Virmir pokes him to play some Good Games on (S)NES emulator... will do, will do, sooner or later!
And well... *sigh*... don't we all want EE back?

Mostly getting my tail kicked by the Megaman X Collection on the Gamecube... I grew (or would I still be growing up?  |:P) with easy, FPS games, and all of a sudden, there's platforming and tons and tons of projectile dodging! Tactics! Thinking!
This is all brand new stuff to me... >_>
And, of course, there's always time for Minecraft and Team Fortress 2 on the side!

My roommate brought a bunch of N64 games and I will be taking advantage to play some stuff I've not had the chance to in a long while. Ocarina of Time... Majora's Mask... Banjo Kazooie... Yoshi Story... oh so many things...

Beat Zelda 2 the other day. Yay! (Okay, I cheated a bit and broke out the old Nintendo Power "NES Atlas" for the Grand Palace. [;))

Next up is Live A Live for the SNES, which is an obscure RPG by Squaresoft that was never released in the US, so am playing a translation (thanks for reminding me I need to get back to this, LoC. [;))  I have a flash cart, which means I can play obscure fan-translated games like this on my real SNES.  Mwa ha ha ha... [;)

Beat Live A Live the other day. All I can say is wow... definitely recommended for any classic RPG fans. [:)

I'm giving Chrono Cross for the PS1 another try.  I tried once five years ago, played a bit, but couldn't really get into it.

(Also, GRRRRR to playing a PS1 game for 30 minutes, then finding out you need to restart because your blasted memory card is full... [;))

Yay Chrono Cross!

The game changes depending on some choices you make during your playthrough, and that is both minor story changes and different characters you get to meet and use.

There are both a "good" and "bad" endings. Make sure to have a save before going to fight the final boss, so in case you don't figure out of to get the good ending you can give it a try again :P
You can recognize the bad ending easily since it's just the credits rolling right after the final boss, leaving you wondering wth just happened.

Btw, unlike Chrono Trigger, there aren't 15 or so different endings achievable by doing different stuff during the game.
In this one, there many different "alternative endings" achieved in the "new game +" mode, where you can go and kill the final boss at any time during the story and thus triggering a different ending depending on your choices and how far in the story you're at the time.
They are all silly and amusing to watch, and certainly anything but canon :P

Yeah... I hate games with multiple endings, honestly.  I just want to play the blasted thing once, enjoy it, but be done with it 'cause I've got tons of other games to play too. [;)  I'll make sure to save an extra file though so I don't get the bad one.  Thanks!

Kinda the reason I tend to play a game with a walkthrough... I hate to miss anything in-game, and having to replay. {:(
(Also the reason I sometimes read the game datafiles instead of playing it... to be sure I know every possible event... yeah, I'm weird.)
Title: Re: What are you playing?
Post by: Virmir on November 27, 2010, 10:04:24 AM
Ha ha, I actually don't like to use walkthroughs too because I like thinking about puzzles presented to me and figuring it out myself.  I don't mind missing stuff, as long as the rest of the game feels complete. Though I do tend to reference them if I get stuck running in circles for some time, (and more readily if I start to tire of a game [;)).

I love playing almost any game made by Nintendo, but recently they have been getting rediculous! I'm starting to lose my faith in them  {:(
Title: Re: What are you playing?
Post by: Virmir on November 30, 2010, 08:52:00 PM
I haven't played anything recent by Nintendo, as the latest of their consoles I have is a Gamecube. I think the newest Nintendo branded game I played was Zelda Wind Waker, which I enjoyed quite a bit.  The whole motion controlled thing with the Wii doesn't appeal to me at all, nor does the stylus on their handheld.  I'll probably pick them up eventually though when I can get them on the cheap (like everything else I own [;)).

Lemme think...

Right now I'm playing Zelda, Ocarina of Time on my Wii.

I'm also currently working my way through Infinite Undiscovery, The Last Remnant, Borderlands, FFXIII, and Assassin's Creed. All sporadically when I feel like playing that particular game.

I am playing many games right now: Starcraft II, the old FF games sometimes, Advance Wars, Mushroom Kingdom Fusion (fan game), Battlefield Bad Company 2 sometimes, Pandora Saga (online MMORPG when I get bored), and sometimes retro games like Pac-man, Tetris, Megaman....etc.

Yay, I finally beat CHRONO BLASTED CROSS.

"Oi! Ya ain't gonna believe who I'm the scantily clad Australian clone of, mate!"

Okaaaay...

Next up is Super Mario Sunshine on the Gamecube.  I hear people have mixed feelings about this one, so interested to see how it goes.  I'm only 45 minutes in or so, and I keep fumbling the controls because I'm used to the N64 controller and Mario 64. [;)
Title: Re: What are you playing?
Post by: Dragyn on March 12, 2011, 12:35:16 PM
I actually really liked Super Mario Sunshine.  It may not have been a perfect game, but it was fun, which is why I play games...

I've been replaying Super Mario 64 myself, recently, when I'm not working on Shadow Wolf...
Which means I'm not very far in, this time through.

Beat Mario Sunshine!

I really liked it. Terrible beginning and ending, though... but most of the game was fun. [:) Definitely recommended.

Next up is Donkey Kong Country 2 on the SNES.  Had this one for a while, but never got around to trying it. I remember there was a lot of hype about this series when it first came out, but scoffed at it because monkeys are meeeeeeeh... [;)  Played a bit and it seems fun so far though. [:)

Yohoho Puzzle Pirates
Spiral Knights
and LoL here and there.

Donkey Kong Country just wasn't doing it for me... I'm not sure what it is.  Not a terribly huge fan of the pre-rendered 3D-ish sprites... or monkeys. [;)

Music will be added to stream collection though. [;)

Next, I'm giving Final Fantasy Tactics (PS1).  I'm actually not a huge fan of games of this style either, where you have tons of characters with unlimited customization and choices and-- gah! I just want to FIGHT! Will see how it goes, though. [;)

As somebody who absolutely loved FFT on the PS1, but has much the same attitude toward spreadsheet games, I have one key piece of advice:

Avoid the Calculator, and Mime classes. Each one is massively powerful if you take the time to use them properly, but it makes each turn take half an hour, or forces you to think very carefully about who to bring to each battle. Instead, focus on straightforward but effective beat-stick classes like the Dragoon, White Mage, Samurai, Geomancer and Ninja.

You don't really need to be optimal to win most of the time. Special Characters like Cid, Orlan and Mustadio can outpower an entire party of normal characters, and get access to their special abilities right away, without any fancy class changing strategy, or a good stable of theives can keep your basic knights and squires armed well enough to beat the game. A good build will save you some level grinding, but you only need to be optimal if you're going into the optional level 99 dungeons. (You can win the game at 45, pretty easy.)

In short, don't let the game intimidate you with all it's options; You don't really need most of this stuff.

Its also good to remember that a summoner learns any summon cast on it that it survives: and is the only way to learn the most powerful summon. I forget the exact name since its been awhile: but the final boss of the deep dungeon casts it.

Also, kill black chocobos first: they instantly cast meteor.

currently playing Terraria, which is cool, and I hope to be playing What Did I Do To Deserve This, My Lord? 2 soon, which unfortunately had to change its name to that, previously it and the original game were titled "Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman!" which is a much cooler title.

Welp, lately I've been playing Europa Universalis III. Really fun strategy game, and I've never seen a game so historically accurate before. Not only that, but you can play as any kingdom, nation, group of people, et cetera in the world. Cherokee Native Americans, the Inca, Great Britain, Ottoman Empire, Poland, Ming China, the Mongols, the Papal States, Venice, Norway, Québec, Mexico, Mughal Empire, the Teutonic Order...

...Sweden, Denmark, Prussia, Austria, the Golden Horde, Sukothai, Huron Native Americans, Mayans, Mali, Songhai, Byzantium, Lithuania, Maldovia, Transylvania, Naples, Sciliy, Spain, France, Portugal, the Netherlands, the United States of America, Hungary, Bohemia, the Palastine...

Wow, that only took four and a half months. [;)

Really, really impressed with Final Fantasy Tactics. Definitely give it a go if you come across it. As I said when I first started, I was never really into this sort of genre, but I really enjoyed it, especially after I figured out how things worked.

/me stabs Donnie in the back after the credits roll, just for the heck of it.

Next up is Spyro 3 (Year of the Dragon) on the PS1!  The first Spyro was good, and the second was excellent. I played a little bit and it seems to hold up to the other two. [:)

I picked up the latest Humble Indie Bundle, with Frozen Synapse, Space Chem, Trauma, Trine, and Shadowgrounds.

Frozen Synapse is the titular one, but it has probably impressed me the least of all the titles.  It's a neat sort of concept, but it just didn't really draw me in like I'd hoped.

I'm much more impressed by Trine and Shadowgrounds.  Shadowgrounds single player is pretty awesome (though the multiplayer is local-only, and feels pretty tacked-on and buggy).  It's still fun to team up and slaughter aliens, but the single player feels more like an actual game, where the multiplayer was spent mostly fighting with the controls.

Trine has pretty heavy system requirements (My computer runs it really slow, though Fayth's (much newer) computer runs it very smoothly even at high detail), but it has impressed me in both single and multiplayer modes.  It's a very different game when you have all 3 characters being played at once than when you're controlling all 3 at once.  In multiplayer, you have to use the ways your characters interact with each other to solve puzzles, where you literally switch between them in midair when playing by yourself.

So yeah, that's what I've been playing the past few days.

(Sorry for the rambling review)
Title: Re: What are you playing?
Post by: Fen on October 09, 2011, 08:43:32 PM
I've been playing Frozen synapse as well, the main deal there seems to be the multiplayer (which I played a game of, it was fun and me and me opponent had some amusing banter)

Humble Bundles are always worth a buy in my opinion, even if you didn't like what you got, your money went where you wanted it to (indie devs, charity, humble bundle dudes so that the future of humble bundles is secured, etc, etc.)

I haven't tried Trine or Shadowgrounds yet, just Frozen synapse and Jack Claw, the later of which doesn't run well at all on my computer, even on lowest graphics settings... ah well. I'll have to try out the rest of the bundle at some point.

Meh, it isn't for everyone. In fact, it's become more of a design tool than a strategy game anymore. That said, I suck at it cos' I have no creative vision for that kinda stuff.

That may be the problem, then.  I don't tend to enjoy playing games with random people on the internet, so I've been hesitant to try the mulitplayer.

If Jack Claw doesn't run well, I suspect Trine won't, either.  Sadly.  Thenagain, I haven't tried Jack Claw, yet, so there's still (some) hope. Some unfinished games have higher minimum specs than released ones, so you could still at least try it.  Trine is fun, if it runs at decent FPS.

Meh, it isn't for everyone. In fact, it's become more of a design tool than a strategy game anymore. That said, I suck at it cos' I have no creative vision for that kinda stuff.

RC2 was the first of the Roller Coaster sims I ever played.  It was fun, for a while, but I got tired of the actual missions fairly quickly (too much of the same thing), and ended up using it only to make the most ridiculous/extreme/unsafe roller coasters I could.

I haven't played any of the other entries in the Roller Coaster Tycoon series, probably because that one didn't have enough Replay value for me to even finish it.

I finished Spyro 3 last week. Yay! Really awesome game. I think I like it best out of the three. 2 had the best villain though. [;)

I then decided I haven't been playing enough NES lately, so played a round of Super Mario Bros. (died at the last level. Phooooey...), then some Tetris. [;)

Next up is Startropics on the NES. I heard this one was good, but wow! Been playing for a few days and this surprised me by how playable and fun it is. It's kind of Zelda-ish, but a bit more straight forward and action-y and less puzzle-ish (though there are some there too).

I'm currently playing Divine Divinity! and it's a lot of fun, although I keep forgetting it isn't one of our wussy modern games that automatically saves for you now and then, and I just lost a big chunk of progress through a dungeon because of that! Oh well...

Beat Startropics a few days back. Really highly recommended. [:)

I've been playing Dark Cloud on the PS2 since. It's kind of... weird. I'm not sure if I like it or not, but it's interesting enough to keep me entertained for now.  Random dungeons are interesting in concept, but they seem to be pretty blandly implemented here, at least this early into the game. We'll see how it goes.

Star Wars: Empire At War: Forces of Corruption

I am playing as the Rebel Alliance. My planets are split on one side of the galaxy to another. Mon Calamari, the planet I need to build Mon Calamari cruisers are separated from my main front. I am under constant harassment from the Zann Consortium who have recently taken a few of my planets. However I lead a massive raid into their territory, trying to chase down their massive tank army currently in orbit in shuttles. Tanks to me trailing them it lead to them sacrificing Level 5 stations. I believe the Consortium has wasted the equivalent of 20 capital ships worth of credits, buying me time. I've recently been on a victory streak, destroying 20 Zann Consortium battleships with massed bomber wings. No matter how many bomber wings I lost, it does not scale to the number of capital ships they lost.

20 Y-Wing Squads: Roughly 3200 credits
20 B-Wing Squads: Roughly 5000 credits
20 Consortium Battleships Lost likely over 40,000 credits.

40,000 credits, on my side, takes about 10 ingame days worth of time to build up to. And with the lost level 5 stations this doubles to about 80,000 credits lost, 20 ingame days. The Consortium has suffered a grievous defeat.

I decided to try the time sucking X3: Terran Conflict again with more mods and X-Tended. So far so good so to speak but not all things are going well. My NPC Bail plugin I relied upon for easy early game starts has failed, ships explode soon after the pilot ejects, ruining a major source of income barring trade. Thus far I have only captured one ship intact, a scout ship. I fully repaired it and sent it off to be sold as scrap. Earned 300,000. And its a scout fighter. Imagine the payoff if it was a heavy fighter! Millions! Well bleh.

On the bright side I flew next to one of the largest ships in the game! It is SOOOOOOO huge!

I beat Dark Cloud last week. Mixed feelings over all. The story is cheesy and fun.  Liked the town building part.   The dungeons are boooooring and repetitive though.  Fighting pretty much amounted to slingshotting everyone to death with cat girl once I got tired of trying out other characters and weapons. Well, I've been playing Super Mario 3D Land, Half-Life 2, Civilization 3, Mario Party 9, Minecraft, and, when I'm in an odd mood, Team Fortress 2. All of them entertaining, though Civ 3 I'm having a hard time adjusting to mainly because I'm still learning about the whole turn based strategy(I'm more of a real time strategy person). My dad's more of the turn based strategy type though we have the same basic strategy in order to dominate the world.  {;)

As of a note, the most underrated game I've ever played is Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends. While I admit it's not the best RTS game I've ever played, it's often overlooked over the AoE series and the StarCraft series. Get it if you enjoy RTS games. It got a nation based off of clockwork technology, a nation based off of Arabian fantasy, and a nation based off of the Aztecs/Mayan alien techomagic.

I've been playing Star Trek Online, since my brother told me to try it, now that it's free to play.

I'm...actually impressed.  I didn't expect to like it all that much, since I'm not much of a Star Trek fan, but the space combat is very well done.  I'd recommend it, if you're interested in a space combat sim.

My lack of knowledge in things Star Trek doesn't really seem to detract from my experience, either, so there's that.

Playing Skyrim as a Khajiit using only MY FISTS! (And heavy gauntlets with the Iron Fist perk.)

I'm not sure what makes the set-up OP, the obscene damage (15 + Gauntlet Armor, which is 24 at the moment), me being under leveled (due to not actually using any weapons), the fact that fists trigger auto-kills on living humanoids every three seconds, or some combination of the three.

I noticed there aren't tons of Xbox names being thrown about here, so I'll put in my two cents worth.

I tend to stick to mainstream games (Halo, battlefield) Simply because i like them, and the multiplayer has vast multitudes of people to interact with.

I've been considering breaking out the old 64' and gamecube to play through the star fox series. I don't care what game you throw at me, I loved the series to death. Always have, always will.

But anyhow, Im currently attempting to get battlefield to actually WORK. But my experience on it has been one of great entertainment (it funny how many snipers don't expect to be sniped BACK). Since i use the recon class primarily, I basically find a dark corner with good visibility on common sniper vantage points and simply wait. Shadow the counter-sniper.

I set Bionic Commando down for a bit, partially because I'm not getting terribly far in the 45 or so minutes, 3 or so times per week that I do play, and partially because I think I need a new NES solution. Games have been freezing a bit more often, despite popping in a new 72 pin connector (Might be a lame one. Might try getting another or popping the old one back in.)

For the past couple of weeks I've been playing Perfect Dark on the N64. This one again I didn't like so much at first, but been getting into it more. My main complaint is on a loooooooot of levels you are wandering around in an empty level after you've KILLED EVERYONE looking for that one obscure staircase or wall-mounted control panel you missed.

There's the omnipresent Left 4 Dead 2, a lot of Blacklight: Retribution (it's mindless but it's fun), Borderlands, been practicing my sniping on Bots in TF2, some Borderlands here and there, and the occasional Fallout New Vegas or Skyrim.
And then there's Black Mesa, the Source engine build of Half-Life 1. Awesome game.

I recently picked up a Source engine mod called Firearms: Source. It's in alpha stage, but bugs aside it currently has some of the most dynamic and immersive weapons handling I've yet seen in a game. It needs polish, but it feels good, and runs great on Source SDK base 2007.

Lately, I've been playing "Mount & Blade: Warband", a medieval wargame. The single-player campaign is fun and involves being tricked into having your RPG turn into a wargame. "Hey, that bandit was mean! You should hire five peasants to help you go beat up his gang. And now that you're leading a bunch of guys, you should hire more and do some mercenary work..." Combat is action-oriented and has some neat parry-block-slash action and a variety of weapons and armor. I've only been playing multiplayer lately, which has a good siege-battle mode with 90+ people storming into and around a castle at once. I hear "Chivalry" is a good alternative, but wasn't crazy about the emphasis on gore and murdering peasants.

Also played a lot of "Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance", pretty much always as the Cybrans, for story reasons instead of actually being good with stealth. Didn't like online multiplayer though, because hyper-aggressive rushing seems to be the only viable strategy there and I prefer a more careful "turtle" approach.

Bought "Divinity: Dragon Commander" recently. It's interesting but clunky in several ways. Weird RTS mechanics, for one thing; you win or lose without actually destroying the enemy. I do like the concept that you're doing things on a strategic map that then set up RTS battles with various units in play.

I'd like to start up "Skyrim" again with a new, expanded civil war mod. Already have a neat hypothermia mod ("Frostfall") that really adds to the gameplay.

After several months of not doing anything arm related, I recently beat Dragon Warrior on the NES using only my feet and an NES Advantage joystick.  I'm currently playing Dragon Warrior 3 the same way.  Most definitely having Dragon Warrior 7 flashbacks with this one, although it is quite fun!

I hath been addicted to Heroes of the Storm!! While not what I really want(a point control MOBA that has some sort of competitive side) there are some really neat things about it that put it above certain other MOBAs I've tossed to the curve.

@ Virmir: Ah, Dragon Warrior on the NES.  Potentially the most cryptic RPG I've had the opportunity to play.  Did you hunt down a walkthrough, or did you wing it using only the in-game dialogue to guide you?  The latter path is...very difficult, hah hah.

I knew somewhat where to go based on previous knowledge, but did look up where to go in the later stages.  It does somewhat ruin the effect, as that really was what the game was designed around.  It's quite fascinating reading the lore and game play hints in old issues of Nintendo Power from the eighties.

Seeing what Nintendo Power had to say about it would be very interesting, indeed!  Thinking back on the state of games in the 80s, particularly ones with very cryptic secrets that were required to be discovered to finish the game (Dragon Warrior, Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest, Zelda, etc.), I feel it was probably a marketing strategy by Nintendo to intentionally make aspects of the games nearly impossible to figure out without the aid of Nintendo Power and other Nintendo sponsored game guides of the time.  Given that the internet wasn't available to freely provide this information as it is today, Nintendo certainly made a lot of additional revenue on these guides.

My siblings and I had a box of old NES guidebooks, Nintendo Power issues, and the like from 80s tucked away in my parents' attic.  Might be worth dredging it out the next time I visit my parents for an extended stay...certainly would be nostalgic, at the very least!

I remember that one forest area in the southwest of the original Zelda map where it would not let you progress unless you went in a specific combination of cardinal directions on the same repeating screen.  We actually resorting to CALLING Nintendo (remember this was back when long distance calling was serious business and cost a lot more) to get the combination... then a few months later my dad somehow lost it.

Back on topic...!

In my free time (of which there has been very little for the past several weeks), I have been booting up the old Castlevania games on various emulators, and attempting to finish them in legit play throughs (no save states, no frame slowdown, or other various emulator benefits).  Thus far I managed to finish Castlevania Dracula X: Rondo of Blood, an amazing game for the PC Engine (TurboGraphix16) that was, sadly, never released outside of Japan (probably the best 'linear-style' Castlevania), and Super Castlevania 4 for the SNES.  Both were quite challenging, but certainly doable.

At present, I'm trying to beat the original Castlevania and Castlevania 3 (both for the NES).  Each of these games is far harder than the two I mentioned above, with CV3 being, arguably, the hardest in the series. As for the original Castlevania, I am stuck on Stage 5 and the Death boss battle, and in Castlevania 3 I've not even reached the point where you enter the castle yet (stuck on the stage before it).  Quite challenging, heh heh!

The NES Castlevanias are high on my list when I get my arms back!

Having just finished it, Dragon Warrior 3 was definitely my favorite in the series so far (having played 1, 3, 7, and 8 ).

Next on the no-arms disability list is Final Fantasy 2 on the NES.  Playing a fan translation on my flash cartridge.  Never played this one before!

@Virmir: With regards to the Dragon Warrior (Quest?) series, I'd read that some of the later installments (7, 8, etc.) were several hundred hours long (according to my old, old copies of Electronic Gaming Monthly).  Is this true for just a playthrough of the main story quest, or did those numbers mean for completion of all possible side-quest content?  If the prior, I'm not sure I could keep my interest in a single game story for a 200-300 hour playthrough, hah hah!

Also, in respect to Final Fantasy II, I would actually recommend you skip it and instead give a fan translation of the original Final Fantasy III (on NES -- not the FF3 [actually FF6] that was released on the SNES in the USA) a try instead.  Generally, I felt FFII was lacking in both playability and story -- the system of leveling up everything as individual skills by doing the actions in battle was not well implemented and required some very serious grinding.  FFIII, on the other hand, had a story that was, surprisingly, okay, and a very fun job system similar to FF5. ;) I have a great fan-translated ROM if you would like to give it a try.

Yes, Dragon Warrior 7 took me some eight months to complete, and is the longest game I've ever played by far.  That's the main game only.  I'm not sure how much extra there is in terms of side quests, but I don't think a whole lot.  I didn't bother, he he he.  8 is decent sized and nowhere near as long.

I actually played through most of FF3 years ago and it is quite excellent, indeed!  I intend to go through it again and beat it soon.  I was aware of the infamy of FF2 and that is one of the reasons I wanted to check it out, he he he.  I'm actually enjoying it in a primitive piece of history sort of way.  It is definitely a very broken game, at least towards the beginning.  My party is actually way overpowered, he he he.

I've beaten DW7 twice. If you know what you are doing its very possible to beat the game in  under 100 hours(Read get Sword Dance and Hustle Dance ASAP they break the game hard). I love the game and I would really like that 3DS remake too Square Enix. *cough cough*

Anyway here's my backlog. Discuss. http://www.backloggery.com/acynder

Skies of Arcadia and Codename S.T.E.A.M are fun, Yakuza 1 has a good story but kind of dated battle mechanics(Still fun though.) Thracia 776 is great but can be hard if you don't know what you are doing. And I don't why I gave Symphony of the Night a break. Its a good game but it hasn't grabbed me yet.

I really enjoy playing console games. Especially games from the Ratchet & Clank franchise.
Otherwise I like MMORPG's like the elder scrolls online and for something in between those in the time I have absolute nothing to do and can't bring myself to put the CD from ESO in to my PS, I really often play Rocket League. That's just for console games. On PC i enjoy strategy games like Company of heroes or the settlers 6. Feel free to ask me a friend request, I am always open for some nice company or some rivals that really are trying hard.

Currently, I'm playing a mobile game. It's called TerreGenesis, it's a planetary terraformation simulator, you basically turn dead or uninhabitable planets into a paradise. Also you get to put cities and mining outposts on other planets and manage them. Plus there's random events that happen to those cities whether they're good or bad. It's fun, but after a while it just becomes a little bit of a waiting game, cause you have to wait for the events to happen. I've put some cities that references some of the places in Crimson Flag along with some other webcomics and video games.

I have been playing both "Papers, Please" on iPad and "Baldi's Basics" on my laptop.

Papers, Please: This is a dystopian document thriller based in a country called Arstotska.  You play as a border inspector and check all papers and passports from your country or others.  Still on my way to finish story mode to unlock endless.  Very interesting and challenging as it gets harder by day.  Very good in my opinion.

Baldi's Basics: This game is a outdated-look game with some intense teacher named Baldi who will attack you when you answer a question wrong.  Your objective is to collect all seven notebooks and escape Baldi.  Even though it looks like it was created by some lazy guy to add detail, but manages to get the game popular.  I like it so far, almost made it to the end but Baldi still catches me. {:(

As of right now, I am planning to get back on Minecraft soon 'till I have finally got mouse for the laptop.  It's really hard to do it without a mouse.

I legitimately don’t know WHEN I’m gonna get the chance to ask about it so as it stands I can say it’s basically in temporary retirement until I get a new one ó_õ; idk

That aside:
I’ve also been playing Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising (GBA) and plan to go to my old bro’s DSi to play some Dual Strike whenever I feel like it.

I don’t feel like tackling the original AW though, as that one, personally, feels WAY too unfair with its difficulty. Especially with some of the Advance Campaign missions cough Kanbei’s Error cough

I finally beat Megaman Unlimited as Megaman, and started a playthrough of the extra mode last night. So far it’s actually a LOT easier than I remember it being.

Having a 1-HP drain air dash that can go through enemies REALLY helps at times, too. Though, general tip for the extra mode: go for Glue and Comet first, they offer the two best movement techniques.

Never played much Undertale, but I do enjoy me some Sonic Adventure from time to time.

As for other game progress:
I’ve finally recompleted Megaman Unlimited start to finish. Both campaigns and the extra boss.

FF4 After Years I’m kind of halfway through. I’ve beaten Ceodore/Kain’s tales, beaten Rydia’s, beaten Yang’s, beaten Palom’s, and am now grinding on the last one.
I always make sure to grind to a decent enough level after beating the tales so I can prepare myself for The Crystals/Planet Eater/Final Tale. Running through the challenge dungeons and getting some extra equipment definitely helps.
After that I have Edge, Porom, Edward and Lunarians to get through before I can officially start the endgame of FF4AY.

Persona 5 I actually haven’t touched in a DANG long while, same with Battle Network 1 among a few other games.

I plan to continue the postgame of Megaman Starforce 3 when I get the chance to. Haven’t touched that in a dang long while.  Not to mention I might wanna grind for Wolf Noise so I can have higher Link power if I can get more brother bands with people.

I got the Luigi's Mansion remake on 3DS for my birthday and have been playing the heck out of it. I'm ALMOST done, but the final boss fight can be seriously frustrating at times. If anyone's got any tips, lemme know.

I also got Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled and I'm still trying to figure out powersliding. Good game though!

Before I get further in those, though, I'm borderline obsessed with Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo. It's such a relaxing game and I've made some decent progress in my town. Shout out to the best villager there right now: Stitches the plush bear.

Finally I got Stardew Valley from a friend as a late gift...anyone got any advice for that either? Haven't started playing and I'm not sure what this whole thing's all about.

Nothing about Stardew. Sorry, big bro.
I gifted Hollow Knight to a friend but never got the game myself so I have no idea.

After Years progression is going steadily, along with some Wii Sports as a side dish...

I’ve also been A LITTTLE too much into Advance Wars By Web, haha. ...I might start an official competition myself at some point, haha. Maybe later, who knows? Gimme some time to read up on how the past ones went down and I’ll see what I can do.

And with the new Bubble Bobble 4 friends trailer having been released, needless to say I’m gonna play the everloving crap out of that once I get it, haha.

WARNING! CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR THE HENRY STICKMIN COLLECTION AND SUPER MARIO ODYSSEY. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Been slightly less than a year since I posted in this topic so, may as well provide some updates on the games I mentioned last time.

As for what I've been playing lately?

Super Mario 35 is a ridiculously fun battle royale; I've had some genuinely stressful moments playing it. Same goes for Among Us, which I'm going to assume most people have played by now. Screw that card swipe task...

I've also been trying to 100% Super Mario Odyssey and MAN do I hate the RC Car and Jump Rope Moons in New Donk. Oh and the hidden Shiveria race. Purple coins have been really easy to find, though. I'll probably focus on finding all of those before I jump back into the moons.

Drawn to Life is a game I've made infrequent progress with and will likely try and finish soon. I think I'm still on the first world, though. Fun game, but man the story can get repetitive and the dialogue boxes are overwhelming.

Lastly is The Henry Stickmin Collection, which I'm ALSO trying to 100%. I've gotten every FAIL and ending including Multiverse Correction, just need to get the remaining bios and achievements.

Been playing Roblox all the time, i'm also going to play an interesting game I found called Zen Heroes (it was made by a guy who used to do Mr. Canny meme videos).

In the game, an evil queen stole all of the Zen Manor's power source (which is the goop) in spoons & buckets to sabotage Wowly's & Zumra's wedding & accidentally dropped all of the buckets & spoons filled with them around ZenDome (which is the setting for the game), we play as 6 different heroes & our goal is to unite and collect all the silver spoons & buckets that has goop in them to restore the manor's power source and save the wedding.
