Also, would it be a bad time to point out that you can't actually sink in lava?  It's molten rock, that shit is way more dense than the human body could ever be.

Doesn't matter.  No organic substance is going to be more dense than rock.  The actual effect of landing on lava is hilarious.  You die instantly from the heat, so you don't have to worry about the pain, and once you lay flat on it, the heat causes ruptures in the skin and vaporizes all the liquids in your body, so you spin and flop around like mad as the steam escapes for a few moments before everything burns up.  If you imagine Roger Rabbit going "PLBLBLBLBLBLBLBLBLLBLBLBLBLBLBLBLBLLBLBLBLBLBLBL," it's sort of like that.  Only with fire.
