This is true. I'd imagine that this is the direction it's likely to go - at least, in a normal comic. I'd be willing to bet Lucian is the target, though. Unless he's a bad host, being a gray. But honestly, I wouldn't be surprised, haha.

Huh, never thought of it that way, you could be onto something! But... if her spirit lives on, what in blazes was she inhabiting? Don't see many Reyn around that look like that!

Good question. Perhaps her spirit will only now be released as her body just barely disintegrated? Or it could have been trapped in the stone with her. Alternatively, it could be within the staff itself, and that's how it grants the power to change other's forms.
