I just want to know how long does it takes for others to write storys...
-
Weeks at the very least for me. If not... longer.
-
I think back in 2007 when I was in writing-mode, I could crank out a very short story in 2 weeks or so. Slightly longer MK stories took me a month or two. Again, this is with a constant inspiration writing drive. This was just a phase I went through. I could not do this today, so voted the last option. My final MK story took something like 2 years... [;)

Honestly, if I sat and wrote nonstop? I bet I could churn out a chapter in a day.

Yea, if I didn't have any distractions I could write waaaaay faster. But I procrastinate a lot and my computer has so many shinies on it {;)

I typically write a story in anywhere from 1 to five hours by estimate. Tends to be all in one go. It's very make-it-up-as-i-go-along, but that's how I like to write. I've had a few stories where I have time between writings and what usually happens is I just completely trash the older version and start over.

Well, for me it's all or nothing. Either it's done all in one "stream", in single day or a few days back-to-back, or it's never done. And I find it very hard to start at all.
So, well, depending on how you look at it, it will be the "one day" or "fifteen years" answer, not sure.
(Didn't vote.)

I'll get back to you on that AC, for the grand majority of my stories, I have yet to finish them. The short ones are either one shots or maybe ten minutes.

For the short tails I do, they can take between a couple days and a few months. Mostly it depends on building the idea, starting it, and making sure it somewhat flows together. Proofing also take at least half a day, since I am just well...grammatically bad at times.
