You sure about that? Can a summoned spirit die or do you mean the pain Sierra has to suffer?
If the light beam hadn't come from her now broken staff, I would have guessed that she may have gathered more energy for the spirit.

I'm gonna guess that she sprouts wings, horns, a longer tail, and possibly some blue fur, absorbing the summoned spirit and becoming a dargonfox!

I had thoughts that such would be insanely cool to happen, but I won't hold my breath for it.
