Admittedly, that arm/leg won't be shown without the metal plating, most likely. Vir is going to keep it hidden through clever poses, angles, and scenery. ];)

Aw man, I wanted to see a feral Voltar.  I know, we're supposed to be rooting for the good guys, but letting the bad guy "cutify" a few of the main cast first is fine too, right?

So much for a sneak attack, looks like the cuteification continues! also I am gonna go with Zavier on what he said too, now let's see if a third character gets cutesy feralization! [:P

My vote is that one or the other of the mages is going to get zapped, and the other is going to jump in the way and save them.

Well, considering Lucian saved Sierra (http://crimsonflagcomic.com/comic.php?comicID=136) once before, I wouldn't be surprised if she would be the one taking the hit for him. And besides, we seem to only be getting feral Reds so far, not counting Emiline, so this option would make more sense.

That's true. [;)

Actually, that would imply that the shot was intended for Lucian, which would bring to question why Julian would be turning his son feral...  Possibly a friends or family loyalty choice?

Julian...I don't think he's actually taking anything into consideration here. And besides, he's used the thing on his own daughter. Who is younger than Lucian and allied with him. So yeah, him using the staff on Lucian would make sense.

It still isn't substantiated that Emiline's TFs are in any way caused by the staff.  Her third eye and implied derived mystical powers could just as easily explain things.  I wouldn't jump to any conclusions about her and the staff unless it's shown to be so.

Offense! Jumping to conclusions is the right and obligation of us, as Noble Trudgers of the Forum! I'll do it right now! *launches self off of cliff towards a conclusion*

I don't think it's the staff, or at the very least it's the staff AND something.  Note that the queen has a brief conversation with her, and Julian specifially mentioned the staff taking the voice.
